    Good choices.

There is a long list of climate hypocrites to chose from. But these three are definitely amongst the top few.

Difficult to choose when there are millions of climate hypocrites contending for the award. Of course the 100,000 parasites that went to Crap28 self-selected to a shortlist.

Naturally regenerating trees have increased by around 25 per cent in six years at Invereshie and Inshriach National Nature Reserve (NNR), a new survey shows.

This year NatureScot commissioned a repeat of a 2017 survey that looked at tree regeneration over 1,025 hectares of their land at Inshriach near Aviemore.

The survey focused on open areas next to the existing established woodlands, as the aim was to see if the woodland is expanding. It covered land stretching right up to an altitude of 900 metres.

No sheep and culling deer works wonders. All it needs is some traditional Highland Cattle, summer sheilings and it’s pre-clearance conditions.

    I nominate the BBC.

If flew a significant majority of its 47 attendees to COP28. And then flew them back home again.

Al Gore and David Attenborough should be up there. Chris Packham and Brian May too.

The chief of the Bundesnetzagentur expects electricity prices to remain permanently high. “The time of cheap energy is over; At least as long as we continue to consume large amounts of conventionally generated energy,”

The delusion about renewables runs deep. 2024 looks like being nothing but a string of bad news for Germans as costs rise, pensions are cut, companies close or move away. How quickly Germany has collapsed from being the star economy of Europe to edging towards being a basket case.

What a weird statement. We had cheap energy but now we don’t because of the stuff we used when it was cheap…

These people lie and lie and lie.

A regularly updated webpage showing modern coal-fired MWh cost to the consumer would be a useful comparison re energy costs, particularly if accurate LCOE is also shown.

There is certainly the expertise on this message board to achieve this… (not me!)

Hi Gezza, Germany is finding out how good it feels to be world-leaders in NZC….sort of schadenfreude…./grin.

John Kerry deserves a special honor.
I am proposing that every person’s emissions of CO2 be limited to 1 Kerry. One Kerry is defined as the total amount of CO2 emitted by John Kerry’s houses, travels, meals, etc. in 2023. It shall include 100% of the emissions from his private jet travels and his share defined by the number of passengers on a commercial jet. His mansion’s emissions shall be shared with his wife.
A limited number of persons shall have exceptions to this rule, for example persons travelling to Mars.

But they’ve all been at the game for years – nothing different about 2023 that they weren’t up to in 2022, 2021 …
Anyway, I nominate myself for the climate denyer hypocrite of the year. An avowed denyer but I always switch the light off when I leave the room, take the bus whenever convenient, pay attention to what goes in the green waste and the grey waste, and I have three compost bins, just installed in 2023. I make no attempt to redress the situation by adding extra emissions through other activities or profligate consumption. Any excuse or mitigation? I suppose, like John Kerry, I can claim to be spreading the word in my small way.
