Green Billionaires Fund Large Backbench Tory Net Zero Parliamentary Caucus

Almost half the Conservative Party’s backbench MPs in the British Parliament belong to a Caucus promoting extreme Net Zero ideas that is funded by a small group of green billionaire foundations. The Conservative Environment Network (CEN), which acts mostly as a lobby group,  receives over 80% of its funding from the European Climate Foundation, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisers, Oak Foundation, WWF-UK and Clean Air Fund. As regular readers will recall, these paymasters crop up regularly whenever anyone of influence, be they journalists, academics or politicians, requires help and guidance in promoting the insanity of removing hydrocarbon energy from industrial societies within less than 30 years.

Full story here.

It is utterly shameful that so many MPs are members of a group, which is funded by far left green billionaire foundations. The entire purpose of CEN is to lobby governments and parlaiments, and influence the media.

Instead of kowtowing to billionaires, these Tory MPs should be looking after the interests of their constituents.

Shouldn’t this be listed in the MP’s perks list

OMG! (just to keep up with the kids) That’s pretty much the entire government bought and paid for! What is the point of voting? (Of course, that’s exactly what they want voters to think!) This needs a much greater exposure. I bet the DM would love it…)
        Thanks, Ray.

PS: I note my MP is a member. I am you g to write him and tell him in no uncertain terms why I will not vote for him now – after 55 years of doing so (for Tories). What a mug I’ve been….sigh).

GC…your best government is still in waiting,,,,unless Biden can get his 81 million voters out again.

States have reigned in their voting control. Mail in voting due to Covid was the big opportunity in 2020. But never underestimate the Democrat propensity to cheat.

GC, Well, the lawfare going on in the US to try to stop Trump even runni g is becoming an embarrassment for a free country with a solid constitution. Biden can’t even bring himself to believe that his current VP could be the President. God forbid!

It’s good to note the absence of my MP’s name. 😉

Ray, I’ve just sent a short, sharp email to my MP – Sir Jeremy Wright – to give him a piece of my mind and to tell him he’s now lost my vote. Bet any reply I get will be from one of his Spads/Greenies.

Such lobbying channels are hardly confined to Conservatives. However, we can only try to vote out all the closet greens in whichever party puts them up as candidates. CEN is not the only green lobby group for Conservatives either. The dimwits at Bright Blue are equally guilty, and equally supported by green billionaires.

There’s an awful lot of them, see here: https://www.cen.uk.com/our-caucus
They are having a meeting in Winchester in January. This climate/net zero issue has become so all-pervading that the vast majority of MPs, councillors, etc who cannot see any major problem with it simply sign up to avoid becoming an outcast.

Despite living in Kent, I have the impediment of having the only Labour MP in the county – Rosie (Waste of Space) Duffield – so I can’t take her to task over this. However, I notice nearly all nearby MPs are fully enrolled members of CEN.
Well they can all kiss their arse goodbye for my vote or support.

This is the sort of issue discussed on the CEN website. “To reach net zero, people’s behaviour must change”
Can anyone seriously claim to be a Conservative and make statements like that?

As most self respecting scientists know, man-made carbon dioxide has virtually no effect on the climate. It is a good gas essential to animals and plant life. Provided dirty emissions are cleaned up, we should be using our substantial store of fossil fuels while we develop a mix of alternatives including nuclear power to generate energy. There is no climate crisis, it has always changed and we have always adapted to it. Atmospheric carbon dioxide levels were many times higher during the last mini ice age. There was no industrial revolution then. We have no control over the climate. The sun and our distance from it have by far the most effect. Most importantly, Net Zero Policy will do nothing for the climate either. Countries like China, Russia and India are sensibly ignoring it and using their fossil fuels. They will be astonished at how we are letting this Policy and Agenda 21 needlessly impoverish us as well as causing great hardship and suffering

Oh Gauld – thanks Ray. Just found my MPs signed up.
Couldn’t possibly bring myself to return to Labour especially with momentum still in the shadows. It’d be like wishing a holocaust on myself. And Libs are absolutely bonkers.
Maybe move to somewhere capitalism still rules like Vietnam or China !

Hi, used to be a member but left as she was promoted to government. But she will of course have taken all those ideas with her into the cabinet. I despair.
