IPCC Admit Extreme Weather Is Not Getting Worse

Amidst all of the nonsense talked about extreme weather last year, it is worth seeing what the IPCC said about it in AR6 two years ago:

Floods

.Drought

Tropical Cyclones

Extratropical Storms

In short:

  • Hot days are becoming more frequent, but are offset by fewer cold days
  • There is no evidence that floods are getting worse
  • The only evidence of increasing droughts due to “human-induced” climate change is in SW South America.
  • No evidence that Tropical Cyclones are more frequent or stronger
  • No evidence that Extratropical Cyclones are more frequent of stronger.

Historical evidence and basic physics tells us that a cooler world has more frequent and more extreme weather events.

On the one hand the IPCC says that there are areas where is no discernible trend in human induced climate change on a global scale. Would it not be interesting to run a side by side comparison of the IPCC policy reports with the material presented here. The former would appear to scream from the rooftops that we are all doomed and the later not so!

Who cares what the IPCC think or say anymore, they are a long discredited mob? They are a Marxist cabal peddling socialism on steroids along with the UN, WHO & WEF

I do for one as the IPCC has said, publicly that we are all doomed and hidden away almost the complete opposite. If by good fortune we can point out the dichotomy they have created for themselves then we considerably weaken their ability to play an overtly political agenda. In short convincingly show the world them emperor really does have no clothes!

I agree wholeheartedly James and, as much as it frustrates the hell out of me, I’m always happy to get into debate with alarmists, however, you cannot win with them, they are so entrenched in their beliefs, they think anyone saying otherwise is an heretic and should be censored, cancelled and shipped off to some leper colony!
They have no interest in facts, science or data, unless it’s their estimated versions, they are religiously indoctrinated to the point of idolism, but, I will continue the good fight, with all my might

Is it fair to conclude that the climate change fear campaign is just a fear that the world’s warming, after a very cold spell in the LIA, is somehow a dangerous trend caused by man alone? The fearsome 1.5 K maximum allowed is purely an opinion of a few scientists………………. the lunatics took over the asylum in the 1990s.

It is wrong to call them scientists, scientists are always skeptical, always questioning, always testing ideas. Once a consensus is reached and enforced, science has stopped.

It is rather funny to find that even the global warming activists at the IPCC contradict the XR children and Greta Thunderpants on things.

“The only evidence of increasing droughts due to “human-induced” climate change is in SW South America”
That would be Chile and western Argentina – how probable is it that “man’s” dastardly emissions have singularly affected such a relatively human-free area?

Bear in mind IPCC “medium” confidence is defined as 50%. So actually as likely as not. In probability terms effectively unknown.

The latest Global Water Monitor report shows things are looking excellent. https://www.globalwater.online/
A few quotes: Precipitation was close to average. There does not appear to be a clear trend towards more monthly high or low rainfall extremes.
Despite warmer and drier conditions, high annual soil water conditions were observed in many regions.
Vegetation vigour was the highest since 2001, continuing a steady increase over the last decades

‘The only evidence of increasing droughts due to “human-induced” climate change is in SW South America.’

Evidence free assertion. Mash up of English language.

What is this evidence? What is climate change? What is “human-induced” about it? World leaders spouting word salad.

Even though the IPCC says one thing, activists continue to ignore the broad conversation and instead claim victim status. https://www.dutchnews.nl/2024/01/bonaire-takes-legal-action-to-force-climate-change-action/

The extreme weather tag is just another peg on which to hang their assertions, masquerading as science-based theories, about the vital trace gas CO2.

So no change in at least 30 years of monitoring. So, what is the expected change in 100 years, nothing x 3.
