NZ Climate Science Coalition statisticians have uncovered evidence of scarcely believable deception from our National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research Ltd (NIWA). [The equivalent of the UK Met Office]
Last December, NIWA released a reconstructed NZ temperature series Report on the Review of NIWA’s Seven Station Temperature Series (“7SS Review”) (pdf, 8.5 MB). It has a fresh new graph that’s all but indistinguishable from the previous graph. But that’s not the point.

This is just a small part of a UN led global effort to exaggerate the minimal warming since the Little Ice Age, well recognised by genuine scientists to be the coldest era sine the Ice Age.
The genuine temperature temperature record for New Zealand is absolutely clear, that the current climate is much cooler than most of the last 10000 years.
That is of course, if you don’t rely on heavily adjusted upwards temperatures recorded next to airport runways!

Fraud is EXACTLY what’s going on here, across almost the entire climate industry.
We’ve all seen dozens of examples of adjusted data, always one way, to suit the AGW industry.
Given the money and influence involved the guilty people should be facing extremely severe consequences. Obviously they’ll get off scot-free.

With bank accounts obscenely swollen by CBEs (Climate Bribes Extraordinaire) tucked into nic “Xmas Cards”.
Not only do the scammers need to be held to account but, most importantly, those who selected them as “The Settled Science.”
My starting point is that the opposition is debating in good faith.

However when you watch the Canada video of reporter Menzies vs the police bodyguard of Dep PM Freeland it is clear the officer used Stalinest tactics as he blocked Menzies way and when Menzies stepped aside he then put out his arm to touch Menzies and suddenly shouted that Menzies had just barged in to him and therefore he was being arrested for Assaulting a Police Officer.. The police ended up stopping the circus by driving him down the street and releasing him a few miles away.
So like 28Gate and the way some people in the UK are unpersoned and fitted up and jailed and the media play along , there are really are times when the establishment goes Stalinesque,

For a 1st World Western country, the Canadian “state” can be surprisingly draconian e.g. see treatment of Canadians during Covid.
As I’ve mentioned before, the alarmists seem to have quite suddenly shifted from selective reporting and other misleading methods to just outright lying. Presumably their position is now so far from reality that stretching the truth no longer works for them. Of course if the Mainstream Media actually got off their arses and started actually doing their jobs the whole thing would collapse like a house of cards. Thomas Paine had something to say about these people.

Average maximum temperatures in NZ increased over the 20th century in line with those in South East Australia:
These are regional averages, derived from raw data, and are not corrupted by UHI. The different shapes are probably due to a period of elevated rainfall in SE Australia around 1950.
Sceptics need to stop denying 20th century warming, and should focus on celebrating it, one of the major weak spots of the alarmist narrative, the other major weak spot being the notion that humans can do anything about it.

Where are the met stations located, that provide this regional data?
If they are anything like the C.E.T. temperature database, they are at airports. Until recently, the C.E.T. was taken from:
Squires Gate = Blackpool Airport
Ringway = manchester International Airport.
These two sensors have now moved to Stonyhurst, a college owned by the Society of Jesus. Conveniently, the observatory there has the oldest temperature record in the world, and is located at 53.844742, -2.470980

In most cases airports are excellent sites for measuring temperature, large areas of grass, and very little urban development.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha…. I love your sense of humour.
The sensor at Ringway was in the middle of a junction of three taxiways, right next to the engine run-up bays. There were huge jet aircraft taxying past, all day. (The sensor had to be readily available for twice-daily readings, thus not on the other side of the runway.)
Jet efflux is strong, even at idle. A 747 taxying out of LHR blew me off my feet, while I was on the parking stand opposite. And you could feel the blast of warm air, some 10 degrees warmer than ambient.

Man has no way to know whether it warmed or not. Our ability to measure TODAY is limited. Before 1979, we had NO WAY AT ALL. Global Mean Temperature is a fiction. Any reported GMT should include (est.) . . . estimated. Otherwise, it is false.

Why? What standard does it violate? One is free to say whatever one wants to. Being “wrong” – allegedly – is NOT a barrier. Why would “sceptics” be constrained when the climate maniacs surely are not?
Constant banging on about all warming being due to UHI makes it easy for the other side to ignore you, and to dismiss anything else you say.
And ignoring the effect of UHI, especially at Airports plays right in to their hands.
How anyone can think that the increases in tarmac, concrete, pssenger throughput with corresponding traffic and increases in Jets and the percentage of Jets is not UHI I don’t understand.

Indeed, the increase in temperature of the CET from 1980 to 2005, was merely recirding the increase in traffin, and size of aircraft, at Ringway (Manchester International Airport).
The airport went from handling a few turboprops and Bae111s to a two-terminal, two-runway international airport handling A300s, L10-11s, 747s, and 767s. And the sensor was on the taxiway that every aircraft taxied past – next to the engine run-up bays.

For #1 the stat fell from 1870 to 1945 by about 1.7C

BTW if peak temperature is affected by bush fires, then humans affect that by creating fires, by replacing source material with cops etc., by preventing fires
Who is it that is dening climate warming. That has nothing to do with what causes it or the fact that it was warmer in the 1930s than today.

Does having all office staff working from home actually save a measurable amount of “carbon” aka CO2.
No, but it might save the company electric bill as staff are using their own power for computers and printers etc. VW’s nett zero is trying to get the leccy bill down.
It doesn’t make it clear as to whether the office is only open 2 days a week or is it still open 5 days a week but under-occupied.
I think it only works if you add in commuting otherwise I struggle to see how having each worker heating and lighting their own homes is more efficient than grouping people together in a single office space.

Don’t nuclear etc. power stations have to have a grid supply? I though this was a rule (in the UK at least), so when they’re not generating, they still have a supply.
I’m no expert but I would posit that that requirement is for emergency use. Look at what happened at the Japanese Fukuyama plant after the tsunami. The danger there occurred because the emergency diesel generators required to maintain circulation when the main generators failed were also flooded out (bad planning!!). The article suggests mains power is a regular requirement for wind turbines and I’d certainly read previously about the need to keep them spinning at times of lack of wind!!

Who does that? Nobody denies that average temperatures have risen since the end of the little ice age. All available evidence suggests that this is part of a natural cycle and nothing to do with CO2. The problem for the alarmists is that 21st century warming has been minimal and may even be starting to reverse. This is completely at odds with their predictions so they are falsifying temperature records to keep their scam going for as long as possible. The lack of predicted warming is behind the switch to alarmism about weather disasters which they claim are getting worse, the precise opposite of the truth.
And no doubt when it does start cooling again, they’ll claim it’s a result of the net zero measures. Heads they win, tails we lose!

Given the amount of data fiddling that has gone on in addition to the changing of the environment around weather stations, the problem is actually knowing what the temperature trend actually is. I don’t know how he can claim that his data is free of UHI.
The regional averages are “free” of UHI by exclusion of periods with anomalous warming (and cooling), and by the suppression of any residual UHI by averaging over many (typically 20) stations.
“averaging over many stations” doesn’t eliminate UHI from data.

Graphing just from the 1900’s doesn’t give a complete picture of temperature change. Graphing from the 1800’s through 2024 gives a much more accurate picture of the sinusoidal variation of temperature. There is a very insignificant amount of human caused temperature variation.
Except any data before 1979 is completely fake.
So, in other words, when someone says “The hottest on Record” that only dates back to 1979.

In the 1840s and 1850s weather studies were made by military officers, but in 1859 the government put weather stations on a more formal footing.
Ten permanent meteorological stations were established in 1861 and Dr. Charles Knight was appointed to control the new service.
