Met Office Lie About “More Intense Storms”

January 22, 2024

By Paul Homewood

Having set up the big lie about storms, by naming every passing low pressure system and only reporting wind speeds at high altitude and clifftop sites, the Met Office have now doubled down with the lie that storms in the UK are more intense, and it is due to climate change:

.

Yet the Met Office’s own State of the Climate Report last year was absolutely clear that storms are now less intense than in the 1980s and 90s:

Claire Nasir then compounds her error by talking about rainfall.

Despite the heatwave in June, rainfall for the summer as a whole was above average, as was spring. So where she got this idea of a rainfall deficit is a mystery.

Meanwhile, although autumn was wetter than average, it was a long way from being unusually so. To call it a shift between extremes is the sort of palpable nonsense we are so used now to hearing from the Met Office.

It is time that the Met Office’s climate change work was defunded, and the organisation returned to its proud tradition as a Meteorological Office.

Of course, this is why totally uninformed individuals blame climate change whenever possible, for example in The Times sports section on Saturday:
Racing – Climate change making impact on fixture list – “David Armstrong, chief executive at the RCA, voiced concerns over the level of cards called off, up 40 percent on 2022, citing climate change as the likely cause.”

He must be tremendously knowledgeable on the subject to be able to make statements with that level of confidence!

Play at Lords suspended due to bad climate.

Southern Rail services cancelled due to wrong sort of climate and climate on the tracks.

Just watching BBC banging on about flight diversions because of THE STORM – which, as I recall is a common occurrence in flight schedules. But now, BBC news tried to give the whole stupid report a sense of importance by getting their ‘reporter’ from VERIFY (!) to give the presentation.
BBC IS nothing more than a propaganda outfit conditioning the public to believe that all these events are caused by climate change. So, what’s in it for them? Other than to really p*ss oeople off? Well, there’s another NAMED(ffs) storm on the way. The Verify Unit are going to be earning overtime!

Claire Nasir appears to have a good education, so it is surprising she has been infected, near fatally, with the Climate-Virus™.
Let’s hope a cure is soon found.

She merely is going along with the cancer in order to progress her career. I just wonder how many people of her age group in the meteorological business are having to grit their teeth and spew out such falsehoods, and especially by those with a knowledge of meteorological history, Lamb, etc.

    I have two questions:
    1. Why are they giving these storms foreign names
    And
    2. Why are storms being given names

      1. The first propaganda outfit so see the low pressure gets to name it.
      2. Scary propaganda to prop up the failing global warming scam.

we take it in turns with Ireland and Netherlands for “storms” that effect one of us first. There are other country groupings covering north and south europe who name storms in their area. However the convention is that if a storm affects two groups – so for example a storm in the Bay of Biscay that has been named by the french or spanish, moves north and affects uk, then we dont rename it. All explained here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weather_system_naming_in_Europe

The Met Office propaganda statement by Claire Nasir seems to have been repeated without any verification by all the main TV and radio channels (no surprise there).

They only need to keep this up for another 10 years to scare people into Nut Zero hysteria then the UK’s total economy , along with most of the West’s , will be totally destroyed. Job done WEF.

Steyn described Mann as a “vicious blowhard”….who discriminates against, harasses, and bullies anybody who disagrees with him”. He said Mann’s Hockey Stick graph was a fraud and Mann himself was a fraud. Mann falsely claimed on numerous occasions to have won a Nobel Prize.

Funnily enough this isn’t new. When the West of The USA was being settled, the railroads ran ads to convince doubting farmers that there was sufficient rain to grow crops by saying “the rain follows the plow”.

Another myth bites the dust. Grow your own vegetables is bad for the environment.

Carbon footprint of homegrown food five times greater than those grown conventionally
The study found individual garden infrastructure responsible for increased levels of CO2

There is likely more CO2 produced by the people writing and publishing about backyard and community gardens than there is produced by the actual growing. And none of us give a schist.

How far does civil servants/ politicians misleading the public have to go before anyone is charged with misconduct or misfeasance in a public office?

    https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/misconduct-public-office

Just look at the post office IT scandal – there are individuals the police should have arrested by now.

Especially if the action is alleged to have financially benefits or other conflicts of interest to either themself or close friends/family which they haven’t properly disclosed and it was not the most rational decision to the average person e.g. Choosing the EPR nuclear reactor design when there is no working prototype especially with the UK past history the clear lessons that should have being learnt with the AGR fiasco (see Dungeness B) is that a full size prototype should have being build and running for a period of time to give some time to find the bugs before committing to a fleet, the existing builds are considerably delayed & other countries who also considered the EPR at the same time the UK ruled it out like the UAE who went with the Korean APR1400 PWR which was cheaper, built quicker and is more capacity 4 x 1400 MW vs 2 x 1600 MW. Furthermore the UAE had to start without an existing nuclear energy sector and with a language barrier.

Following a recent I-phone update which now played music when I looked at the temperture, I received a notice advising me that the temperature was “dangerously low”. At the time, the temperture was 14 F. (that would be -10 C). Unless you were planning a long hike in your bathing suit, that was hardly a lethal winter temperature where I live. Banished the notification and musi c features.

Now you do not know what to do or what anything is unless it is a banner on your phone? It has become all too obvious that “survival of the fittest” has been overcome in today’s society. These are the ones they continuously scare to keep them in line…..

The BBC are still at the blame millennia long Norfolk coastal erosion on climate change.
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-68058902

It’s becoming like trench warfare attrition – the BBC intend to wear any and everyone down with their endless BS.

  19. January 24, 2024 7:26 am

” The BBC are still at the blame …. ”

The BBC appears to have developed a new tactic involving a short interview – as part of a longer item – with a member of the public who happens to be a believer, thereby creating the image of widespread belief.

OT: HPC construction cost has increased, HPC construction project completion date has drifted.
