Harry Slammed For Taking Private Jet To Cinema
By Paul Homewood
I did wonder the the Duke and Duchess of Montecito got there!
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been brutally slammed by critics for flying to Jamaica for a glitzy film premiere after their environmental plea.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a rare public appearance on Tuesday night (January 23) when they attended the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in Kingston, Jamaica. The couple walked the red carpet together, with Harry in a suave suit and Meghan in a billowing ball gown.
While at the event, the couple posed with Bob Marley’s family, as well as beaming from ear-to-ear when posing with the CEO of Paramount Pictures. But due to the couple residing in Montecito, California, eyebrows were soon raised over how the Sussexes travelled from America to Jamaica.
According to The Times, it is understood that "the Sussexes were flown to the island by private jet courtesy of Paramount Pictures, the production company behind the new biopic Bob Marley: One Love". But this hasn’t stopped critics from slamming the couple for flying from Montecito to Kingston, with many quick to brand the Sussexes as "hypocrites" for having made environmental pleas in the past.
In 2019, the couple preached about "environmental damage", with Prince Harry quoted saying: "Environmental damage has been treated as a necessary by-product of economic growth. So deeply ingrained is this thinking that it has been considered part of the natural order that humankind’s development comes at the expense of our planet."

In the football story under this article, the player mentions the huige variety of places worldwide she jets to and has played for New Zealand 15 times, a country not exactly that close to other footballing nations.
Ig I remember corectly Meghan jetted over to New York for a baby shower and to watch a tennis playing friend.
Fortunately all the above people emit “celebrity CO2′ radically different to that from us ordinary plebs. Scientifically it does not cause a ‘climate crisis’ but actually removes CO2 and methane from the atmosphere. What wonderful people they are
“celebrity CO2″ is a wonderful coinage. I’ll try to remember it and use it.
They are so much better than lowly commoners ..
I think there is also ‘sporting CO2’ where the likes of Sky Sports claim their Premier League coverage is ‘carbon neutral’ and of course there is Formula 1 which must be the most resource intensive sport on the planet. All those tyres, the fuel, the non-recyclable carbon fibre, oil, and all the additional rounds compared to 20 years ago let alone 1949 when it began, and many now in far flung places with the cash to buy a round requiring the whole circus to fly there.
Do we really want to join the alarmists in their sense of outrage? Hypocrisy is a minor misdemeanour nowadays.
“Any publicity is good publicity.”
Best to ignore them.
Not a chance. The term hypocrisy doesn’t begin to describe the utter contempt this pair treat the public with.
If this were any of us we would be cancelled and sacked from our job.
Disgusting behaviour and typical of the ‘new’ royal family. His old man is at least as bad.
Any remaining royalist’s should be scorned, cancelled themselves, and a campaign mounted to get rid of this parasitic family.
Oh, my!
You would be better off if you just didn’t care. The problem is in YOUR head.
They took a plane to Jamaica, and I feel fine.
‘Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are alleged to have made a “calculated” appearance to “get attention” while attending a film premiere in Jamaica last night, a Royal expert has claimed.’
And TIC fell for it.
I see, you’re a monarchist. Prepared to support this pair of morons, his father pushing the very policies we on this site object to so vehemently, and Andrew the pervert.
Harry’s grandfather was a prominent Club of Rome member, where this all began, and his grandmother (who I admired until covid) said nothing, she just paid the £12M to shut down a trial for Andrew.
What a delightful family to admire.
I don’t care who you are, that’s funny.
I’m a ‘Merican. We rejected monarchy centuries ago. I recommend you do to, then you can pay no attention to whatever Harry does.
Plenty of monarchists in the US. That’s why those idiots left this country.
rules don’t apply to libmob
Their motto is #ItsOKwhenweDoIt
But this hasn’t stopped critics
But? Why ‘but?’
Because its only what you say that matters, not what you do. As somebody said 2,000 years ago about Pharisees (not that I’m religious).
Only slightly off topic as it relates to flying and how portrayals can vary depending on motive. One of the newest BBC Climate Cult propagandists, Georgina Rannard, has recently spawned this article.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-68170278
She describes the drone’s fuel consumption this way
“It also uses much less fuel than traditional planes – 10 barrels compared to 200 on one research flight – reducing the environmental impact of scientific research on the planet.”
Well a “barrel” is universally understood to be 55 US gallons = 208 litres. She is claiming the drone carries 2,080 litres of fuel whilst the aircraft, a staggering 41,600 litres (200 barrels).
Hmmm! The British Antarctic Survey has 5 aircraft as detailed here https://www.bas.ac.uk/polar-operations/sites-and-facilities/aircraft/
The largest (being modified to include extra fuel load) is the De Havilland Canada Dash 7. It has a quoted max take off weight of 21,320kg. Which is quite amazing when you consider Georgina Rannard is claiming it carries 41,600 litres of fuel which alone would weigh 33,280kg!!!!!
Complete made up nonsense on a stick
Have you complained to the Beeb yet
Gratuitous inaccuracy from a sloppy hack., One might have expected a fact checker to have picked up on it, You should It is always nice to hold the toes of the warmistas to the fire. If you don’t Paul might./ In fact I already did complain or
A barrel is 42 US gallons of 231 cubic inches. About 159 litres. Approximately 35 imperial gallons. In large scale commerce, volumes are corrected to 15C or 60F. These days even some petrol pumps actually provide temperature corrected volumes.
Oil and lubricants are sold in drums of 205 litres or about 45 imperial gallons for convenience of delivery to e.g. island locations, small farms for tractor fuel etc.
Well a “barrel” is universally understood to be 55 US gallons
[citation needed]
A barrel of oil is 42 gallons.
A barrel of beer is 31 gallons.
Agreed and I stand partially corrected. It would seem like many transatlantic issues there are as many significant variances in definitions as there are in spellings (metres/meters. )
The barrel of oil international definition of 42 gallons is indeed the correct standard and I bow to your superior knowledge. Either ways though it still makes Georgina Rannard’s absurd claims incorrect by orders of magnitude.
In the UK a barrel of beer is 36 imperial gallons, or 4 firkins. Firkins are typically used for cask ales that are served by gravity from the pub countertop.
Actually, Ray, your analysis is probably correct.
The problem is Georgina – and her fine editors – don’t know the difference between a barrel and a drum. I.e., she was surely, erroneously, calling drums ‘barrels.’
Georgina Rannard’s (Climate and Science reporter) absurd piece caught my eye too and I did some small fuel sums… are the Isle of Wight NHS still using them to deliver Covid masks and didn’t the Post Office have one dolled up in Post Office livery?
One might think that dim Georgina might’ve asked the drone maker to once-over her copy…
https://windracers.com/
The Windracer page for the ULTRA unit indicates 50kg of fuel or roughly 60L
It also uses much less fuel than traditional planes – 10 barrels compared to 200 on one research flight – reducing the environmental impact of scientific research on the planet.
That’d be ca. 2000L to 40,000L (using 200L barrels) – the fuel capacity of BAS’s Twin Otters is just under 1500L and their sole Dash-7 5600L (has extra non standard tanks so roughly…)
What are the chances Georgina has a driving license?
Or even a driving licence…. No doubt one of these city-dwelling cyclists who have never driven a car and think everything can be done with a bicycle. Sadly, when I worked at the City of London idiots like this ran the transport section and loved schemes that made life hell for businesses and residents in the City.
We need all the carbon dioxide we can get, to keep the planet greening. Who cares what they say, just let them burn as much hydrocarbon as they please.
Imagine my surprise.
Duke and Duchess of Montecito
Anyone living in Montecito is not like the people reading here.
Well, they are not like me.
If I chartered a private jet to fly to Jamaica for a glitzy (can’t afford) party, my stash would fall into the negative territory.
I suspect it was paid for by Paramount. They may be regretting that now.
Because we should be listening to what two very dim, very ignorant, incredibly self-centred semi-celebrities say about complex issues such as Economics and science.
Who also have a loose connection with the truth although ‘recollections may vary’.
Aspen fuel is sold in 60 ltr and 200 ltr drums, they might be using 60 ltr drums for ease of handling, I’m sure they use eco friendly petrol. Many professional chain saw operators use it, makes for a pleasanter day at work. https://aspenfuel.co.uk/25l-60l/
Depends if you have the money to spare on expensive fuel as opposed to forecourt fuel. Their main selling point is the lack of ethanol in the fuel but you can buy ethanol free fuel from Esso courtesy of their Synergy 99+ petrol which is what I use for all my equipment either for mixed or pure.
The ethanol means water and after a few months corroded fuel components. Mandating ethanol in petrol – to what’s left of my mind is akin to government bureaucrats peeing into my fuel tanks.
Benzene, aromatics, olefins, sulphur and ozone too. Many professionals seems to feel the extra cost justified. For leisure users knowing your kit will start in the Spring and avoiding expensive carburetor rebuilds is worth it.
Synergy 99+ contains 5% ethanol, like the Shell fuel I use in my Panda.
Like all elites, they don’t care about the environment, climate or proles, only if it makes money – dishonesty, hypocrisy & hubris are strong genetic features of globalists
