The Truth Comes Back To Haunt Bob Ward!

Totally by accident I came across this hit piece by Bob Ward which dates back to 2019:
As usual with Bob Ward, it is sloppily written and rambling. It is primarily an attack on the GWPF, but I get a couple of mentions!
He claims this is all untrue, quoting one cherry picked study that says “external forcing factors such as anthropogenic greenhouse gases and aerosols are partly responsible for the increase in TC [tropical cyclone] formation since the comparatively quiescent 1970s–1980s”.
Maybe Bob might like to inform his readers that pretty much everything I said has since been confirmed by NOAA:

In short:
- There are no long term trends in Atlantic hurricane activity
- Hurricanes are not becoming more intense
- There was a marked decline in hurricane frequency during the 1970s and 80s, partly due to natural variability (AMO) and maybe also due to reduced pollution.
- Since 1990, hurricane frequency has returned levels prior to that period of decline.
He then goes on to attack my criticism of a rather ridiculous and transparently untrue claim by his employer that weather disasters around the world had multiplied many fold:
Instead of simply admitting that the Grantham report made absolutely untrue claims, he tries to deflect attention, claiming it was a “quick survey”!
Quite why this is a defence for claims that were widely reported (by the BBC for instance), and which were patently and totally false, when he admits that the EM-DAT database is not a reliable source, is beyond me!
And as EM-DAT themselves have since admitted, the massive increase in the number of disasters over the years is due to better reporting:

I guess it all goes to show that if you want facts, you are more likely to get them from an accountant than a PR hack!

Propagandists can just keep changing tack if an attempt to pull the wool over people’s eyes gets exposed as tosh.
Must be hell to be a Bob Ward having to spend so much time trying to find facts to support a prior conclusion a.k.a. settled science. Who’d be an editor of learned journals in this field.

It would be extremely beneficial if all the GB News presenters could be given a 30 minute lecture on electricity generation and storage costs by someone like yourself. Then also a lecture on the myth of CAGW with a suggested list of questions to ask the activists.

Truth hero Mark Steyn categorises his persecutor Michael E. Mann (absolutely accurately) as a “Vicious Blowhard”.
Bob Ward is Mann’s UK equivalent, whilst not even having any credible claim to anything like Mann’s actual qualifications.

I was thinking that you should send all your articles to Justin Rowlatt at the BBC ( Climate change editor). But on second thoughts it would be a waste of time. He has PPE degree from Oxford , of course he has. Wouldn’t be able to grasp the simple science.
As do so many who meddle in areas based on ambition more than ability.
Ed read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. Though one should acknowledge some science to A level.
But too often those with poor grasp of science or engineering end up in the HoP or W1A. A little knowledge can be… what sees Lords and Ladies trying to dump on folk with a Masters in Electronic Engineering.
