Met Office Fails to Retract False Claim of “More Intense” Storms Due to Climate Change

Chris Morrison is keeping up the pressure on the Met Office:

The Met Office is refusing to retract a claim made by a senior meteorologist on BBC Radio 5 Live that storms in the U.K. are becoming “more intense” due to climate change. This is despite admitting in Freedom of Information (FOI) documents that it had no evidence to back up the claim. The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) noted the “false” claim seriously misled the public and demanded a retraction. The Daily Sceptic covered the story last Thursday and has since contacted the Met Office on three occasions seeking a response. “False information of this kind does much to induce climate anxiety in the population and I am sure you would agree such errors should be corrected by any reputable organisation,” it was noted. No reply was received – no retraction has been forthcoming.

I also know that GWPF are ready to put more pressure if nothing is heard this week.

The message from this is that the Met Office is not a reptable organisation. But we all know that.

I emailed the Met office 4 weeks ago simply and politely requesting why data was not available from some of their official sites. So far I have received an acknowledgement and 2 further emails apologising for the delay – here is the latest 20th February.

      Good morning,

      Thank you for your patience.

Whilst we do not have an update yet, please be reassured we are actively looking into this for you.

We will be in touch as soon as we have an update.

      Kind regards,

      Jessica

The data is still not available online for those stations I mentioned but it is for all others. One wonders what they are trying to hide.

Millions of children live in fear because of all this nonsense. It is time it is called out for the child abuse that it is.

In which case, it’s not the Met Office that needs contacting but the Met Police. Maybe then some oeople will learn.

They would probably arrest you under section 179 of the Online Safety Act 2023, a truly Orwellian piece of nonsense that the Conservatives should be thoroughly ashamed of.

If you lie, then admit to lying, you are expected to adjust the record to show this correction- bit like deleted a WhatsApp comment then stating that it was not deleted just not retained.

It is worth complaining to BBC “More or Less”.

This one from 1 March 2023 debunks the hype around our energy costs and gave birth to the 9X cheaper than fossil fuels Big Lie https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001jkq0

They do go back to the facts and break them down.

Unfortunately it doesn’t kill the 9x cheaper wind. But does use an independent organisation’s data.

But their journalists continue to publish much the same lies regardless, and they fail to call out politicians, quangocrats and think tanks etc. who do likewise.

Good luck with trying to get a response from the Met Office because they come under the Ministry of Defence. That means it’s Grant Shapps and we know what his thoughts are about saving the planet from when he was Energy Secretary beforehand.

The reason you and anyone else won’t be getting an apology is because Grant Shapps represents the MOD (therefore by default the Met Office) in the cabinet office and owning up to disinformation goes against the current political discourse in promoting climate agenda policies. The UK Government have a direct interest to promote the climate change agenda because they are the main benefactor of all the climate taxes and climate change levies which all of us are now being forced to pay.

Corruption? Yes, you had better believe it is. The whole of Westminster has been corrupted by a handful of Liberal and Left wing ideological extremists who have been hellbent on stopping the oil and fuel industry for decades and almost every dummy politician has simply voted along with every woke ‘save the planet’ garbage policy just to look great without ever understanding the extremely contentious and complicated science. Now the UK Government depend on this huge tax grab because they have adapted the whole of UK fiscal policy to take this into account.

    So no chance.

Is it any wonder that the people of this country think the system is broken when the whole of British politics is built on lies?

The Met Office now comes under the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology with Michelle Donelan MP as the minister responsible.

However, if you think Grant Shapps was bad!!!!! Bear in mind Donelan’s husband runs a company called Stonghold Global – guess what they do

PPE, Cleaning and Hygiene, Clothing….can’t think what Covid has to do with this can you!?

I got advanced notice of my insurance premium increase.

    Reason for increase given as

    • Cost of vehicle repairs – up 32% since 2022. Reflecting rising costs, energy inflation and more expensive repairs (source: ABI).
    • Payouts for vehicle theft – up 35% since 2022 (source: ABI).
    • Labour costs for repairs – up 50% since 2019, due to inflation, shortage of skilled workers and the energy crisis (source: Auto Body Professionals).
    • Severe weather – Storms are getting worse and more frequent and it’s impacting motorists. Recent storms, Babet and Ciarán, saw many cars damaged by flash floods and falling trees/debris in the high winds.

No source for Weather. I suggested it was untrue and asked them to provide their source. I suspect they won’t.
