    Pielke does appear to know what he is talking about on hurricanes, but he does support the man made CO2 theory of warming. Still an asset in our battles with the IPCC lies.

    If they ignore Pielke’s retraction request they can expect more grief. A sound defence looks impossible too.

    So much of “climate science” consists of these amateur pieces of data analysis that appear to have been knocked out in an afternoon. The total lack of understanding of the source and provenance of the data used is shameless and shameful.

    It’s much more complicated and bad. Not the “science of climate change” itself, but the real goal behind. For example: “Strategy for the development of nature-like (convergent) technologies” (summary) – a fundamental strategy for future. Here and here. In case someone is interested. (You can read about this nowhere else, I don’t know why. Are they not really important?)

    Pielke is far more qualified than I ever will be so I doff my cap. That said many here will undoubtedly share my view that this is another case of retrofitting. Adopting a view and then trying to justify it with dubious or in this case discredited evidence, is the sure sign of fanatics. They won’t change their preconceived position of AGW and a climate crisis. There is of course a geopolitical agenda at work and using fear is the way to ensure its followed.

    Scientists with integrity like Pielke are fortunately calling this nonsense out.
