And in English:

Swedish utility Vattenfall is scrapping a project to explore the possibilities of hydrogen production on offshore wind farms and transportation to shore, nearly two years after it began.

The HT1 Project was designed around Vattenfall’s European Offshore Wind Development Centre off the coast of Aberdeen, Scotland, and was partly funded by the UK’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero through the Low Carbon Hydrogen Supply 2 funding program.

“Having tested the development phase for decentralised offshore hydrogen production, and in light of other industry advances, Vattenfall has now taken the decision to conclude the project,” Vattenfall said on Thursday, adding that it would continue to explore fossil fuel-free hydrogen production.

And this farce has only cost taxpayers £9.3m!

Returning to the “old fashioned” Ruinable Energy of solar and whirligigs, it is interesting that Ruinables Fraudster Dale Vince (according to Guido Fawkes) has not only bunged the Labour Party in excess of £2,5 Million to stick to the eggregious incompetent Ed Miliband’s lunatic 2008 “Climate Change” Act, but also opined in October 2023 that (so far as Gaza in concerned) “One man’s terrorist is another’s Freedom Fighter”

So Vince, an enthusiast for (metaphorically, perhaps), raping and murdering our ability to access affordable and reliable energy, also brags about his blatant anti-semitism. No wonder the likes of Corbyn, Abbott, Miliband and most of the rest, love Vince.

Would be interesting to discover if Miliband or any other “key” player in the Labour party has benefitted financially from the drive to net-zero e.g. consultancy, directorship(s) or even being paid for a speech.

With a broad brush: any MP who has voted in support of net-zero has been demonstrably responsible for the financial losses suffered by millions of Brits as a result of the drive to net-zero. Of that group of MPs, there are probably some who have also benefitted financially from non-parliamentary work associated with net-zero.

The Fraud Act 2006 refers to “Fraud by abuse of position” , which includes reference to

      The defendant:

occupies a position in which he was expected to safeguard, or not to act against, the financial interests of another person

abused that position dishonestly, intending by that abuse to make a gain/cause a loss

The abuse may consist of an omission rather than an act.

Formatting above might not work ! Pinning down the (historic) intentions of Miliband and his cronies might currently be difficult

I think forensic examination of personal and family finances of the primary agit-prop Reality-Deniers since 2008 would be most enlightening.

There is unambiguous evidence that Lord Deben would fail miserably and, as I have often pointed out, Ed Davey, when Her Majesty’s Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change, introduced limitations on Seismic Intensity from fracking for hydrocarbons of 0.1. (Intensity is a subjective measure of the actual physical effects of a tremor at any particular point and, depending on the scale in question, is normally in a scale of integers, 1-9 or 1-7 (Japanese). The magnitude of a seismic event (total energy released, on a logarithmic scale) is derived scientifically from vibrations recorded by very sensitive seismographs at various specialist laboratories around the world. The MSM usually states this magnitude as being on the “Richter Scale”, (although that has been modified and replaced for half a century.)

The normal intensity level “of concern” is stated to be 4, where trivial plaster cracks might occur or a teacup might rattle. 1 is normally considered as ‘imperceptible’. I’m sure if Davey dropped his wallet it would produce a more significant tremor intensity than “0.1”. Of course, intensity of seismicity for geothermal energy remains boringly at 4. Davey bragged (and stil brags) of having “banned fracking”, whilst trousering £18,000 p.a. for his “advice” to a Solar Energy firm.

There are a multitude of other venal and malicious politicians and others who directly or indirectly have financial interests in this racket. Another little darling is none other than “Dave Boy”, “Hug a Husky” Lord Cameron. Now our Foreign Secretary and trying to persuade Israel to surrender to Hamas, a neo-nazi Islamic terrorist Death cult. Back in his over protracted and dismal premiership he promised the public to “Get rid of the Green Crap.” Unfortunately, his father in law, Sir Reginald Sheffield, had eight modest wind turbines in a corner of his leafy estates, and received a thousand pounds a day, (as, effectively Ground Rent), rain, hail, snow or blow. How much he trousers today, best part of a quarter of a century later, I cannot say. So it seems highly likely that “Dave Boy” benefits from that, even if only avoiding having to sleep on that old sofa in the attic.

A modestly reasonable Parliament would have investigated, and impeached these three and several others, long ago. But the rot goes much deeper than that.

But the rot goes much deeper than that.

The British “Establishment” has a long record of protecting the British “Establishment” , and I doubt if there is anyone with sufficient clout in the UK parliament who would be prepared to launch an investigation of those in parliament who have financially benefited from the belief.

On the other hand, the medjia would be very interested in greedy, incompetent MPs making money as part of a scam.

Vattenfall is immensely proud that the HT1 Project has led to the creation of the new consenting regime for future offshore hydrogen production, transportation and storage in the UK,” said Lisa Christie, country manager for Vattenfall in the UK.

The technological and environmental progress we have made will also enable further advances by the industry towards creating a thriving offshore hydrogen production market.”

It really isn’t. Biden is attempting to spend still more whilst finding yet more ways of stopping Trump standing (which is ironic in that any other candidate beats Biden by even more). The EU is imposing its carbon tax on imports and regulating still more. The UK is increasing subsidies for new wind and making it easier for solar and wind onshore and will impose its own tariffs on imports. It is pushing ahead with fining car and boiker manufacturers. We are for reasons so stupid and craven they defy belief, spending £1m on a Muslim war memorisl. Labour will move timings forward, not back. Both parties are committed to madness for farmers. And both deny all of this costs anything.

Your comment about wind and solar farms got me thinking: within five miles of my house there is a v large solar installation up and running (running being a debatable state), a second one being built a mile from me and a third, larger than the other two combined (150+ acres), within the same five-mile radius. So….One starts to wonder, what will happen to these installations when it all goes mammaries-up? Who will have to pay to restore the farmland to its more productive use? (Rhetorical question).

    The Biden ADMINISTRATION is attempting…”

Four years ago, Biden was in middle-stage dementia. Now, he is in late-stage dementia. It will be one or two years before the vegetable stage is reached.

Off topic but….Following the revelation that the Met Office finally admitted most of their weather stations do not meet CIMO garade 1 & 2 standards, I unsuccessfully tried to find the actual details. I chose to email the Met Office enquiries desk for this information as follows.

“Short Description: CIMO Classification of Sites

Description: This email was received from an external source. Always check sender details, links & attachments.

It has recently been reported that following a Freedom of  the Meteorological Office has supplied a list of all its weather reporting sites indicating each ones CIMO classification status. These reports suggest many of these sites fall into classes 3 to 5 with only  achieving classes 1 and 2.

Firstly is this correct? Secondly, if so, is it possible to supply me with this “list” of sites indicating their individual classification in whatever form it exists please.

    Regards

    Ray Sanders”

After the usual acknowledgement I got this reply.

This strikes me more of work creation than anything else. Yes or No answers my first question (presumably yes) and my second question is surely answered by fowarding me the file already released under a previous F.O.I. request.

I am highlighting this for two reasons.

Firstly the last time I had email correspondance with the Met Office, my email account was hacked by persons unknown – AOL advised of the date and times between which an email was opened which caused the problem. They declined to comment on the source but the only email received and opened in that time window was from the Met Office. I subsequently had to open a new email service as Paul can verify as I had to amend my profile to post on here as well as elsewhere.

Secondly I have previously been assured from the Met Office that EVERY one of their sites met Class 1 status….but of course I no longer have that email as the hack above wiped it out!

I will advise of the Met Office response when it arrives.

‘Icy blast of bankruptcies loom for Swedish wind-power sector, experts warn’ [March 2024]:
    https://brusselssignal.eu/2024/03/icy-blast-of-bankruptcies-loom-for-swedish-wind-power-sector-experts-warn/

Company losses have ranged from 19 per cent to 90 per cent of turnover between 2017 and 2022, they said.

“The losses are simply because the industry cannot produce electricity at a cost below the market price, despite extensive subsidies,” the economists noted.

“That would put any other industry out of business, [although] the rate of investment has been very high.”
