The Clown Jim Dale Forecasts A Scorching April

April 3, 2024

The attention seeking clown is back again:

For many, the summer of 2022 sticks in the mind like a sweat-soaked shirt to the back beneath the country’s blazing 40C heatwave. [The summer, by the way, that was not as hot as 1976 or 1995 or 2018! – Ed)

The UK saw temperatures smash records never seen before with the mercury hitting 40.3C in Lincolnshire, in what was the highest figure seen in UK climate history. But while Brits may have dodged a repeat of the infamous heat snap last year, 2023 was still Earth’s hottest on record overall – and fears are mounting over the dials rising again before summer even arrives.

Meteorologist Jim Dale claims Brits are in for a sweltering spring, seeing heat to rival that of 2022’s in April, while the Met Office has already projected overall temperatures this year to smash records again. Speaking to GB News, he said temperatures could climb unseasonably high this month as a result of climate change.

"We will see hot weather start to bake in during the course of April, and at times in the summer time," Mr Dale said. "We are not divorced from what is going around the globe and what is going on is quite frightening in terms of the temperature profiles. The USA has just had its warmest winter ever."

Meanwhile the Met Office outlook says temperatures may be slightly above average, the weather will be generally damp and changeable:

Reading the comments suggest the Mirror has now overtaken the Express as a joke when it comes to weather forecasting – and that is saying something!

Was it by any chance published on 1st April? You can never tell these days whether these climate change articles are for real.

Actually, he is just yet another green grifter. If you’re prepared to write any Cassandra weather rubbish (regardless of accuracy), you will get paid and earn a nice living out of it. See folk like Tarquin Willson who now is now an EV shill and rent a quote etc.
As for the 43c record temp that is complete contrived figure being recorded at RAF Coningsby right by the runway and one of the largest open expanses of black, heat absorbing, tarmac as you could find in UK. I have been on the base and hot tarmac this summer. It’s literally centred on hundreds of acres of open space with huge miles of tarmac: perfect for flying high speed jets and recording dodgy catastrophic dodgy temperatures. The met do this all the time …

The back of my envelope indicates that the energy content of the air at Coningsby on that “record” date was lower than the energy content of the air at Cambridge on the “previous record date” . This undermines the cornerstone of the belief that increased air temperature is due to increased energy content. Perhaps someone else can do the calcs? Preferably someone with greater experience of similar calcs, my previous experience of “similar calcs” being zero.

RAF fa,: No, he is alot worse than that. If you see him on Tv he is a ranting fanatic BUT he still gets plenty of air-time to spout his nonsense (eg: that traces of CO2 are poisoning the atmophere like a few ppm of arsenic in water can be fatally toxic).

  3. April 3, 2024 10:03 am

Well, the outlook to mid April at the moment is rather soggy – absolutely no sign of prolonged fine weather, let alone a heatwave. So much for Mr Dale as a forecaster…

Love the long range forecasts. Take out the dates and ask me to guess what it referred to and I would have said “a normal April”.

“Getting Sunnier” Jim clearly doesn’t bother looking at ENSO statistics which clearly indicate a return to neutral or even La Niña conditions by the NH summer. Hunga Tonga provides the joker in the pack but even the stratospheric effect of that must be on the wane. 2024 is thus most unlikely to be the “hottest year EVAH” (fiddling figures besides) on a global basis.

    Paul,

you need to go onto GB News to give some balance . GB News likes to promote themselves as being even handed. Nigel Farage always has both sides on to debate issues. Whilst you are there you could mention the new climate movie. That would give some perspective to Jim Dale’s utter rubbish.

    Dale is an ignorant idiot.

The weather for April in the south of UK will continue mild and showery with a south westerley dominance until about the 20th. Nothing unusual for April. Then there is a chance to get a change to a northerly and a cold blast. The danger is that this be followed by a gentle easterly and a dreaded spring frost.

Yes, we have had a few late frosts in the last few years including in the first week or so of May. Not good for fruit trees or even a big climbing rose I have.

What the heck is ‘climate history?’

The USA has just had its warmest winter ever.

    How scary is that?

  13. April 3, 2024 11:46 am

a few days ago on BBC “world at one” included a 5 minute chat with a climate professor from Northumberland university saying that because of man made climate change the ice caps where melting at such an alarming rate that it was causing the earths rotation to slow down. As it was still March he sounded like April the first .

Of course it may have something to do with the new Wales speed limit

    • Elvis Rotten permalink
      April 3, 2024 3:21 pm

I heard that too. Talk about ‘junk science’

The earth’s rotation, along with it’s orbit around the sun and galaxy, as well as orbital inclination around our current poles, has been very slowly, but constantly changing since the earth was formed billions of years back. Nothing to do with ice caps melting. The vast amount of hot air that’s pumped out by the MSM and the House of Commons (and Lords) probably has more effect.

    • April 3, 2024 3:57 pm

The BBC had a ‘climate spin’ report on that…

      https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-68684244

But the Nature article they link to tells a slightly different story: ‘Recent changes in spin caused by ice and iron’.

      https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-024-07170-0

The Earth’s magnetic field varies over time, but nobody claims a CO2 factor there AFAIK.

If there is going to be a heatwave this month, it’s very clear from the jetstream forecast that the weather will be ‘changeable’ until at least mid-month, so it won’t be a long one.

Living in South Wales I can’t remember when we last had a day with no rain the 24 hours, there may have been a couple in January. Before that I think you have to go back to October – but I don’t keep records so it’s not reliable.

A heatwave would be extremely welcome.

I don’t believe it for a moment, but some luvverly warm weather would be welcome for a change. It might dry out my sodden clay garden. Husband mowed the grass the other day and the mini tractor got completely bogged down in a quagmire. Took him a while to lift it out.

‘Jim’ Dale was well and truly humiliated by Paul Burgess on Nana Akua’s show a while ago, but rather than disappearing off GB news as you might expect of a completely failed commenter, he is on more and more.

Mind you the list of tossers they keep inviting on to rubbish the few sensible presenters is growing almost daily.

These fine people flunked out of climate science school. On day one, they should have learned, “Never make a prediction that people will be able to check. Minimum 10-20 years out is best.”

My daughter’s birthday is coming up just now, she was born in 1997. A couple of days after, I can remember being stuck in the traffic on the way to the hospital on my motorbike and stewing a bit as the weather was very hot. The weather is like that, sometimes it is hot, sometimes not.

Why does Mr Dale need to use the word “frightening”. Oh America’s winter was not as horrible as last year? That is called WEATHER and if Mr Dale does not know that then how on earth can such a person find employment in any credible profession? This climate porn language instantly it raises a warning flag regarding his credibility. This is not how credible scientists talk. This is activist speak with an intention to keep the great unwashed in a perpetual state of anxiety. It is time Mr Dale and his like are called out for being the direct source of the climate anxiety which is being detected among children that other similar activist ignoramuses have the effrontery to point to as if this product of their activism is proof of not their stupidity but climate change!

It is not the climate which is making them anxious is is cretins like Mr Dale who are evangelists for the “man is bad” cultist freakshow. He is one more court jester pleasing his masters with baseless emotional language in the hope that he will be invited to get his snout deeper into the trough.
