Where Did That Drought Go?

April 3, 2024

By Paul Homewood

While it was pouring with rain a year ago, the Environment Agency was still warning of drought!

Perhaps they should have consulted the Met Office:

Thanks Paul! Hilarious except in reality, “not at all hilarious”

The Government takes care of everything for our good. The Environment Agency controls the Environment (except for climate, which is controlled by the Met Office).

‘They’ are again predicting hose-pipe bans in the UK this summer. I wish it would stop raining enough so that UK farmers can sow some crops in their fields for food security and get sheep and cattle out of barns.

Now there’s irony. Illustrates perfectly the problem with “security”. Having it made in the UK doesn’t provide any security if the problems are in the UK. The Irish Potato Famine didn’t happen because evil dictators stopped Ireland importing potato’s.

California’s “drought of the century” disappeared with El Nino despite alarmist claims it was here to stay due to CC. Alarmists are silent.

The only thing that is true are the ‘climate Inquisition’ taxes that we get punished with.

Oh, for goodness sake, we’re currently being fed the lie that this has been the wettest Winter EVER, and now we’re being told that we’re shaping up for a drought come the Summer. Too wet, too dry, too hot, too cold, whatever happens to our normal changeable weather, it’s all due to “climate change”. What a load of scaremongering drivel!

Whilst I detest the taxes, they at least get spent on stuff that’s sometimes useful. They are relatively easy to reverse. The bans and coerced changes by contrast make us permanently poorer and will be very difficult to reverse. Restoring ICE production in ten years will be extremely hard, as will recovering the gas network.

I wish. They just move on to the next short-term weather phenomenon.

What else would a group with the title “National Drought Group” do, other than squawk about impending drought? It’s all in the name.

Never mind that much of the country is underwater…

One of their classic claims is “England is experiencing more extreme weather more often.” Is there really ANY evidence for this?

1976 was a classic – a really extreme drought through the first 8 months of the year, followed by a deluge in the last 4 months. Is more recent weather more extreme than that? Suggestions, please…

Well it’s not average is it? If it isn’t average it’s not normal surely? Must be extreme…

David V, I guess you must have missed the ” Sarc ” off your post .

The climate nutters always put EXTREME for any kind of weather , even if it is only a tiny amount above average .

Look at the temps , [ from a reliable source ], for temperatures of 2023 . Only 0.44 F above average , but still claimed to be ” HOTTEST EVER ” .https://temperature.global/
