    Rees-Mogg is on the side of common sense, and he was one of only 10 MP’s who voted against the Energy Bill in November, which contained a clause that will send people to Prison for up to 12 months if we do not confirm to Net Zero Energy Requirements. Rees-Mogg referred to the bill as “disgraceful”.

    I have a ‘bookmark’ on Sir Jacob Rees- Mogg opinion videos even though I live in New Zealand. He is a working MMP and has an academic background ,too.

    He can put words together in a manner which merits respect for his views.

    Not many MMPs NZ Parlt are of the same calibre. You don’t need to agree with him to appreciate his work

    Why not just switch off our National Grid, that would save the world, of course a few million may die of cold and starvation, as well of the ones killed in the looting riots. But hey ho, Net Zero achieved, world saved.

    The UN guys simplistic attitude to just throw money to the third world poor, when he outlines the fact that their is no spare money is just naive.

    If he really wants to fix third world poverty, build coal fired power stations, well proven, fairly simple technology, and a fuel that needs no storage tanks or pipelines, just trucks and pile it on the ground.

    Worse than socialism. What with all the other attacks on liberty and democracy, increases in taxation and debt, the move towards digital money (eventually none at all, such a social worthiness rating), the goal seems to be a Star Trek style communist technocracy with the WEF and other self appointed bigwigs as global government overlords.

    There is no green agenda … just a load of contradictory and unachievable wet dreams which aren’t allowed to be discussed, because any discussion quickly reveals them for what they are.

    No Agenda … no discussion … no result.

      And no support for it either. Jo Nova highlights that in a poll of 18-34 yr olds – you know, those subjected to endless ecofascist propaganda – in the key 7 swing states in the US had just 3% rating climate change as being of any importance.

      There is no green agenda

      The primary green agenda is control.

      Did the proposals within the draft Energy Bill (now enacted) for jail time for non-compliant property owners become law?

      I have hopes that JRM will reveal himself as a non-believer prior to the next election and possibly lead “Reform”. OTOH, he might decide that it’s too much like hard work.

    JRM still believes in Net Zero and therefore that there is crisis; he just wants to reduce the cost and extend the time scale, constantly reiterating the red herring that because China’s emissions dwarf ours we shouldn’t bankrupt ourselves for nugatory results; never pointing out this is irrelevant as there is no crisis to address.

    Nevertheless he does make that case to the annoyance of the climate lobby.

    So GBN normally fields one of their dozen or so on-call green crap pushers, to appease Ofcom, Jim Dale being probably the most egregious.

    But this time he must have hit a nerve because they surrounded him with no less than three from the asylum:

    Stanley Johnson, Globalist and on record advocate of world population reduction;

    Bob Ward long time professional shill for the green narrative, ex Policy and Communications Director at Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and now deputy chair of the London Climate Change Partnership;

    RMand a new one for GBN, Tim Crossland, Director of the charity Plan B.Earth, which advances strategic legal action to tackle climate change (quite how when there is no evidence on which to base a legal case – although the Swiss have managed it – I don’t know.)

      Yes Phil, exactly. Any of those idiot green-crap pushers he has on regularly has me getting hoarse shouting at the television. I wish he would be allowed to have on at the same time some knowledgeable people to argue the case against them like the wonderful commentators in the Martin Durkin film. A fat chance of that happening.

        Lembit Opik, who used to appear on one of GBN’s sofas, was very good at pricking the climate crisis bubble, if that topic came up, bringing in the Milankovitch cycles, for example. But he has vanished. Andrew Montford, is the only one they occasionally let out, but like JRM, he never goes as far as denying a crisis. Paul Burgess (unfortunately not the best live speaker – but his written output is superb) destroyed the execrable ‘Jim’ Dale (he doesn’t even use his real name) on Nana Akua’s programme a while back. So much knowledge and sense you would have thought he would have become a regular go to. Instead Dale is everywhere and Burgess banished.

    The socialist Tories are net zero fanatics, they are not a solution
