Sir Patrick Vallance has thrown his support behind Labour’s green energy proposals, warning that the race to net zero should be treated with the same immediacy as the search for a Covid vaccine.

Sir Patrick, who became a household name during the pandemic as Britain’s chief scientific adviser, backed Sir Keir Starmer’s pledge to decarbonise Britain’s electricity supplies by 2030.

“I am often asked which of Britain’s many pressing public policy challenges need a vaccine-style approach,” he said.

“I believe that one such priority is the urgent need to end the era of excessive carbon emissions, high energy bills and energy insecurity by accelerating the net zero transition to clean, homegrown energy.”

And just like the CoVid ‘vaccine’, it will be expensive, won’t work and be a mass killer.

Interestingly – but perhaps not surprisingly – the rumour is that Vallance is positioning himself to head up Labour’s GB Energy group. Large sums of cash and back-slapping all-round.

Well, he was highly instrumental in promoting the economically ruinous lockdowns so why not finish the job of destroying the British economy by wasting £trillions here?

    This was written:

warning that the race to net zero should be treated with the same immediacy as the search for a Covid vaccine

Yep, the Covid Virus and Covid Vaccines were developed side by side to cause harm, no different from Net Zero.

Actually, cause harm and get rich and powerful

And in 2020, he held £600,000 worth of Big Pharma shares.

When Bunter was questioned if this did not give rise to a ‘conflict of interest’, this was swiftly brushed under the carpet, because ‘it wasn’t he who decided which vaccine would be bombarded with taxpayer’s cash’.

I wonder how many “penny shares” in this new “GB Energy” have stuck to his, Kneel Starmer and Ed Milibrain’s fingers?

      Follow the money…

Vallance is a criminal and should be tried for Crimes Against Humanity- his deliberate lying regarding the “vaccine” that has killed, maimed and injured millions negates any thoughts, musings or ideas he has to mean nothing.

      Hear, hear.

The man’s an idiot and he’s too stupid to know it. This is part payment for his worthless knighthood.

Vallance is a criminal and should be tried for Crime ….

There are people in the UK who should face criminal charges regarding their involvement with covid. For some people, these criminal charges should include manslaughter and fraud.

Nut Zero = Economic suicide. Not as a mere idle threat as it “we get a bit less growth”, but in the sense there will be no more growth, everything that has been built up in modern society will begin to disappear and there will be revolution, because there is no way society can accept the economic suicide.

And, that doesn’t mean things will be like now. We are only in the first small foothills of this insanity and things are getting pretty dire for some. But it will get orders of magnitude worse.

Net Zero is negative growth. It is replacing existing assets with less productive, more expensive and less efficient assets. That makes us poorer. Its not a lack of growth, it is negative growth.

What does Vallance think is the point or objective of Net Zero? Control of global temperature in 2100? What a stupid man.

    Immediacy?? How about priority.

All progressive governments have a list of priority projects. That list includes all projects. That’s what makes the government progressive.

For God’s sake, Vallance is a pharmacologist, wouldn’t know a W/sqm if if bit him. But hey ho, a scientist so he knows everything about everything.

Dr Doom – or was he Professor Gloom? At it again, peddling his snake-oil to cure a non-existent condition.

Dr Doom is Nouriel Roubini, the economist who was one of the few who predicted the financial crash. I used to participate in a forum where he and Willem Buiter were frequent contributors: I agreed with their analysis and chipped in with my own observations and lines of thought.

Mr Vallance should be in prison for what he was complicit in during the events of the past 4 years.

When I want his F@cking advice I shall ask for it.

He is so full of himself. “I am often asked..”

If he thinks building vast numbers of fixed assets, that require a huge diversion of resources from far more productive areas of the economy for ten years to permanently increase costs is the same as a very small group of scientists dedicating their time to solving a single problem, he really is a fool.

He warned: “If we choose to go slowly others will provide the answers and we will ultimately end up buying the solutions.”

Nah, take your time. No need to rush. No one is going to do anything before you. You have the field to yourselves.

I’m unclear how buying the solution is worse than spending the money on finding the solution and then buying it? He seems to be utterly ignorant.

Vallance, like Whitty the gollum and ‘net zero’ has no credibility left whatsoever.

In fact, when Vallance’s time comes, I will relish the sentences handed out. My only complaint may well be that they’re not severe enough.

I’m unclear how spending lots of money very quickly to replace assets that don’t need replacing could possibly lower our bills?

And I do wish these imbeciles would understand that “security” is not the same as “domestic production”.

“I am often asked which of Britain’s many pressing public policy challenges need a vaccine-style approach,” he said. What a conceited comment from the man who obviously thinks wrongly that his views on Covid and Net Zero are at all important to serious minded people. God help us all if this man is brought into important decision making by the next government.
