Just as a final aside (I then I will stop bothering you with my obsession!), yesterday’s Met Office national high of 18.4 °C was recorded at Frittenden in Kent – I know the area very well.
What is interesting about this is that the MO themselves rate it as Class 4 (potential error margin of 2°C) but it was only installed 10/2/2011 in a rural location. This begs the question, why are they still installing such poorly sited stations? But what is even more disturbing is that there is a “Gold Award” winning private weather station recognised by the Met Office and included on their website below which is barely 200 metres away.

This very well located private station (you can locate it from the above link) only got to 17.6°C.
The “official” MO station is regularly surrounded by poly tunnels (it is after all a “market garden” site) and has no effective surrounding site security at all. You really do have to wonder what they are all about. Here it is

Your obsession is of interest to me at least. I’m fed up to the back teeth with the nightly “worst ever” added at some point in the weather forecast.
Notwithstanding the 24 carat hypocrisy of her action, I hope she continues to spread her wealth in equally spendthrift ways. That way people like aircrew, ground staff and others get rewarded for their service. JSO would put a lot of people out of work for no benefit.

Musically, I prefer Black Sabbath to Taylor Swift.
My first visit to the legendary Hammersmith Odeon was to see Black Sabbath on the Heaven & Hell tour. Couldn’t name a Taylor Swift song but then I couldn’t name an Ed Shearan one either.
If they can show Swift after a chiefs touchdown, then they should revert to 40 years ago when they showed cheerleaders after a touchdown. Not right that the Chiefs are the only ones.
