Paris Agreement Will Lead To Rise In GHG Emissions
December 12, 2015
By Paul Homewood
There is one telling paragraph in the Paris Agreement:
To put the figure of 55 Gt in context, the latest estimate of global emissions was 49 Gt in 2010, according to the IPCC, so there will likely be a rise of 12%.
Even worse, this will represent an increase of 49% since 2005, when the UNFCCC estimated GHG emissions of 37 Gt.
Some agreement!

The reality was always going to be that emissions would rise as neither China nor India are going to abandon the aim of western standards of living.
By 2030 the CO2 Greenhouse hypothesis will be dead, but non CO2 emitting nuclear will be the increasing choice for electricity generation.
Instead of commitments to pay an African dictator’s family a king’s ransom for the rest of their
lives (and their heir’s children in perpetuity) it might be an idea to shove some cash into Nuclear, Thorium research and Battery technology, in the same way that the US supported space science when they went to the moon to screw the USSR.
Nail power generation and you have the advantage ! Stop creating climate wealth transfer excuses for Marxists and do some real science that’s useful.

THAT is the kind of response I want from today’s leaders, not submission to ‘gimmie-grants’. – Alas, there are none up to the task in either US Republican, Democrat or the various shades of socialism we have in the UK at the moment.
*llah/*od help us all.
Agree completely… but I think that Senator Cruz (R Texas) might surprise us. It’s still 10 months to go to – hopefully, find an alternative to Hillary.
Fingers crossed!
Actually the Green Malthusians prefer coal plants to nuclear…Germany and now France are re-carbonizing their energy grid … suddenly dreaded GHG take a back seat to shutting nuclear.
That’s why they’re Malthusians… de-industrialization and de-population are the real priorities… the rest is a smokescreen.
The Prince of Wales thinks the whole planet should be an extension of his Cornwall plantations… with him and his royal cronies in charge.
John Palmer,
Senator Cruz impressed me too as he can string a sentence together and has a grasp of the problem. However, he is well behind in the race at the moment but the recent plays on-line of the Steyn/Curry ‘onslaught’ may move him up a few points. Long way to go.
Not sure the US public trust people with brains – better to be loud, thick or a someone doing a black president impression in the style of Sidney Poitier.
cheers.
Trump is also a sceptic.
That fact makes me want to change sides & become a believer !!!
He’s a nasty little bully boy.
If Gaia has the last laugh on COP21 and global temps start to drop, presumably they’ll just pat themselves on the back and say what a good job they’ve done.
According to Bjorn the UNFCCC states that to be under the 2 deg C limit we have to reduce CO2 emissions by 6,000 GT(e). So we are talking about reductions of 1% of this gigure!!
