Antarctic sea ice has set another record, with extent for July at the highest on record.
Eight of the last twelve months have all set new records, the exceptions being December, January, February and March, which ranked 2nd, 2nd, 4th and 3rd respectively.
Sea ice concentration is also well above average around most of the continent, with the main exception of the Peninsula.
Meanwhile, global sea ice area remains above normal, as it has been for most of the year.

Paul,
Thanks for your frequent postings! Always welcome! Do you have an email address and telephone number; I am most unlikely to bother you with too much unwelcome and demanding requests for your attention. But being Denmark-resident and a fairly well-known critic (and where appropriate admirer) of Danish (and German) energy policies, I would be glad to throw you stuff to circulate further, from time to time.
You will probably enjoy this, from Spain, http://www.aeeolica.org/en/new/the-spanish-wind-power-industry-installed-less-than-01-mw-in-the-first-semester-due-to-the-regulatory-situation/, fresh off the press this week!
