If only Yes Minister had done global warming. Well, it has now, in the new stage version.

It’s hilarious, absolutely to the point, and a must watch.

WHAT’S ALL THIS FUSS ABOUT CO2 AND CLIMATE CHANGE ?

In as much as a blanket of CO2 greenhouse gas is said to hold in heat at the earth’s surface allegedly preventing heat from escaping and thus warming the planet, surely this same blanket will insulate the planet from heat entering from the sun ?

If this CO2 blanket will hold in as much fossil fuel heat, as hold out the sun’s heat, then CO2 emissions can only have a broadly neutral effect on Climate, contrary to what the ‘authorities’ who wish to curtail us all, – would desperately try to tell us.

So, all this renewable energy saving the planet from CO2 – is a grossly expensive, unreliable, White Elephant and will have NO effect on world temperatures, and since the sun which heats the entire planet’s surface 24/7 far more than ever we do, our production of this green-house gas, if it prevents heat transfer from the sun, would produce if anything, – a cooling effect.

This is common sense thinking, unfortunatley our highly educated greens and politicians do not do common sense.
      A very good analysis.

Hang on a Mo’. Am I missing something here? That’s the BBC TV sequel to the original Yes Prime Minister isn’t it? Not a stage play, it must be more than 10 years old.

I didn’t watch much of it because it was dire, so I obviously missed this bit, where some sane BBC writers pulled the wool over the eyes of the Greenwashed BBC Mandarins and kicked them in the bollox.

The original series was far superior, as with most programmes I suspect!

As I understand it, the new series was launched around 2013, and was based on the preceding stage play.

Point conceded on the age of the program, however, the video is presented as though it’s a stage play, and we both know that’s not the case.

And I think crediting the stage play as a source of the second series is stretching credibility a bit. I imagine there was plenty of material from the original TV series to expanded upon.

It’s just a shame the second TV series was so bad. perhaps that’s why they never resurrected Spiting Image.

Back when Blair won his first election there was a big problem for the satirists since they were all left-wing and had grown up under the Tories – Spitting Image etc – but now their ilk had taken power. How could they poke fun so easily at their own kind? The problem did resolve itself in that the Blair government were beyond satire. Things that were dreamt up as amusing charades turned out to actually be Blair government policy. The phrase ‘you couldn’t make it up’ was never more true.

Since the second video is marked TV Gold
Is that not from a BBC version ?
JoNova Discussion has lots of good links to other videos and the petition to withdraw Australia from the Paris Agreement

BTW Someone just put up the full 13 mins on Youtube

    • June 24, 2017 2:25 pm

Ah the videos date from 2013
+ press reports from 2012 tell me the new version was commission by Gold so is not part of the original BBC version.

John Coleman Slams CNN on Climate Change

The Weather Channel Founder & Scientist said
“Climate change is not happening. There is no significant man-made global warming now. There hasn’t been any in the past, and there’s no reason to expect any in the future.”
