No surprise here. Did you see the photo of members of XR piling into McDonalds to buy their carbon-free burgers and CO2-free colas?

Ah yes….. THAT D I E S E L generator. just let it sink in for a moment. like a generic name…think Digger, think ’50B’ – the public’s perception of efficiency and convenience:… D I E S E L . – not noise or smoke or pollution etc. – Oh, OH, …. OH Noses – is that generator Euro 5 or 6 compliant to run in London, even? ….. Just goes to show HOW MUCH OUT-OF-TOUCH that lot is.
Why didn’t they take the marvellous opportunity of publicity to showcase the use of Solar Panels and windmills to power their Canteens etc.

Several things I’ve said/suspected confirmed by others:-

Slightly rising sea levels are preferable for reef health.

Covering up for unreliables makes fossil fuel power more polluting – may even negate the renewable ‘savings’ (if there actually are any in an honest full-life audit!).

Did you notice how the MSM kept describing Greta’s yacht as solar powered – what a load of deliberately misleading cobblers. A panel for a battery to power very low-demand electronics no doubt. By that sort of logic/measure they should have described the yacht as gas-powered for the camping stove they discretely used for cooking.

A yottie informed me that they almost certainly had a trailing torpedo generator in case the sun wasn’t shining.

I believe they had to have a diesel backup engine by law for a transatlantic voyage.

I did notice they were manoeuvred into the yacht harbour by a push from a launch with an outboard motor.

I read recently about the angst of similar groups in Australia concerned about how to heat their morning coffee on patrol – did not want to support ‘Big Gas’ with a portable gas heater, so used their mum’s induction heater in their kitchen and put it into a thermos – totally CO2 free!

Like almost everyone involved in climate catastrophe hysterics they are a sad bigoted dimwitted bunch of hypocrites.

The presence (and placing) of the pallets suggests a guilty conscience. It’s now close on 50 years (how time flies!) since one Richard M Nixon taught us that it’s not the original crime that does the damage; it’s the cover-up — literally in this case.

The ESE 6000 DBS is actually a Petrol Generator, not a diesel. But that still doesn’t excuse their rank hypocrisy…

Why the surprise? If you wanted to run any electric system away from a power point you would use a diesel generator. Simple, reliable and cheap and that’s the problem with this lot, no alternative. The truth is staring them in the face but they demand action without outlining their viable alternative. Its like saying that, although capitalism has delivered an unimaginable standard of living and longer lifespan for most of humanity, our economic system is flawed and not provide a viable alternative. Oh hang on, they have. Its called marxism which has been tried in various places, USSR, Venezuela and China to name 3. Mr Corbyn will give you the full list. When they come up with a viable alternative to diesel generators at outside functions maybe I’ll listen.

In the meantime I’ll direct them to a little light reading that will give some balance.

No, no, the picture is of their wardrobe. Diesel is a well-known clothes brand.

That is an Endress ESE 6000 petrol generator. Running at 75%, it has a consumption of 2.5L/h and has a tank of 30L.

I will start taking them serious when they start to put money where their mouth is. Do as you say, as right now its the reverse. Like Obamas house on the beach or Gores private jet travel.

I wonder what they are made from 😉

I fully support XR’s goals. Yes, we need to cut down on emissions. Let’s help them achieve their objective; we could try adding a few spoonfuls of sugar to the fuel tank of this generator. Then we could say we’re very VERY sorry but this was necessary due to the extreme danger we’re all facing…

    • October 11, 2019 9:48 am

Pity you….. to do that ……….. and would that be ORGANIC SUGAR?
1.Sugar should be regarded as a FOOD – and you would waste it
2.Howmany CARBON Miles were consumed to get that sugar
3.Encouraging abuse of substances ( not elaborating).
      Go learn about CO2
