What Climate Change, Katharine?

When asked in an interview with Yale 360,  “have you seen sizeable increases in average temperatures that could be defined as climate change?”,

Katharine Hayhoe replied

What we’ve actually seen, at least in West Texas, is an increase primarily in winter temperatures. Our very cold days are getting less frequent and our winter temperatures are increasing in nearly every station we look at across Texas ”.

Of course, we don’t have to take Katharine’s word for it, we can actually look at the facts.

Yes Katharine, winter temperatures are increasing at the startling rate of 0.0F per decade.

Only in climate science would such shoddiness and disregard for facts be acceptable.

Hayhoe is like a broken record! She has been repeating the same line for some time and Paul has been trying to show her the error of her ways just as long.

Its’s all rather strange at the moment. Now that just about everybody – including Pachauri, Hansen and the Met Office have admitted the 17 year hiatus, the believers – what else can one call them? – have gone into overdrive. CG3 seems to have been the catalyst

They are flocking to Delingpole and Booker’s columns on the DT and are really frothing at the mouth. The latest cockup by Marcott and its rumbling by Steve McIntyre has yet to bite, but we are all looking forward to seeing that paper withdrawn.

I rarely post here, but I do read frequently. Keep up the good work, Paul, we need good men like you more than ever now that the scam is falling apart.

Political science done by PhD’s is taking its toll.
With the private sector donation $ dwindling as fast our public tax dollars, the panic will increase along with even more far-fetched scare mongering.
I can’t wait to see what the next rounds of self abuse will be!!!

    Paul:
I see you are still talking about your “Girlfriend”! I also see she is still making the same claims we tore apart long ago! You are more patient with those ladies than I am! 😉

Kind of like Big Sis and her airport delays due to the Sequester. I guess you can call them Obamagirls, and Obamamath.

No change should mean no more money for climate scams. But we seem to be getting more rather than less.

I actually feel a great deal of pity for Christians like Hayhoe who are desperate for approval and acceptance from the left. They can’t bear the hard fact that the social set they long to be part of despises their faith and thinks they are idiots; so in a strange variation of Stockholm Syndrome they find some issue they can pander to which will cause those who despise them to treat them civilly for brief periods of time.

That’s why they have such a tenuous grasp on the science and are so desperately responsive to social cues. (like her twitter feed) For those like the Hayhoe’s almost more than all the others, it’s all about being able to sit at the “Cool Table” in the high school cafeteria. And they fuel their passion with the desperation of those who have always been excluded up until now.

Which Christians? Do you still subscribe to the outdated notion that all Christians don’t understand science? I’m not being awkward, I’m just interested in these old points of view. still circulating
Try the Antioch Abouna blog for an idea how Christians have been scientists for centuries , and I surely don’t have to point out that the Pope has a science degree. The muddled ideas of the people who are enthusiastic advocates for “global temperature rising “are only attractive to the news media who use these pronouncements because they know on which side their bread is buttered. This kind of news attracts eyes for the advertisements they depend on for funding.
      I enjoy this blog.
