I have been asked by several people to provide a link to the temperature records, which were emailed to me by the Iceland Met Office. These are the first set for Reykjavik.

So for instance compare 1939, which is 5.90C (sorry for the poor quality), with the latest GISS figures below (after GHCN adj)

Iceland Met – 5.90C

GISS – 4.48C ( Remember this is MetAnn  ( Dec-Nov) – when adjusted to Calendar Year, it works out at 4.33C).

Gotta love the way GISS insist on the meteorological year running from December to November, when everyone else uses January to December. I am sure the fact that it ensures any comparative analysis will involve a lot more mind-numbing number-crunching is purely co-incidental.

    Devious bastages!

Keep up the good work, Paul.
