Comrades In LaLa Land

Away in LaLa Land, Comrade Harrabin and co think that we will soon be able to do away with those nasty fossil fuels.

Back in the real world, we know that fossil fuels account for 87% of all energy consumption.

Not only that. Consumption of fossil fuels has been steadily rising for years.

But surely renewable energy is growing so fast that it will soon overtake all other sources?

Whoops!

Perhaps the BBC could give the Good Comrade a job with the Teletubbies!

That’s how they got them to sign up to COP21. Teletubby bye-byes.

Today’s Daily Mail says “experts” claim it is the end for gas cookers in the UK while the rest of the world built 2500 new coal fired power stations. Truly this is LaLa land.

There’s been a stream of La-la land “scientists” given free rein by BBC radio 4 recently. This morning it was Kevin Anderson (at about 7.35), saying that we have to keep fossil fuels in the ground etc, and yesterday it was Brian Hoskins, going on about closing not just coal but gas power stations too.

Em the only renewables you have shown is intermittents like wind solar .
I wonder what happens when you show burning rubbish and other bio-fuel ?

But anyway how much of that “renewables” is actually buring stuff , that might have otherwised rotted down into peat locking up it’s CO2 ?
And how often are tricks pulled like “that’ looks like peat you are burning”, “No sir its just wet wood” ?

Reblogged this on Climatism and commented:
No doubt comrade Harrabin and co are also unaware that the most ideologically aggressive ‘green’ nation in the world, Germany, is undergoing the biggest expansion of coal-fired power generation in her history!

As is Japan and obviously China and India.

Regarding Germany and Japan. There massive expansion of coal-fired power is what the eco-nuts get when they force the shut down of ‘CO2-free’ nuclear power out of knee-jerk eco-hysteria and misguided alarmism.

Village idiot Daniel Hannan reckons the Paris climate deal was a brilliant outcome on todays Daily Politics.
    Some call him Myrtle.

If it achieves sweet FA, as seems likely – then brilliant it is, is it not?

Anyone in the UK who was only watching the Beeb, (and for I know all of the other channels) would be blissfully unaware of the facts, such how temperature data is actually collected and adjusted and how badly the observed temperatures match the models.
Its been blanket propaganda during the whole coverage of CP21 with proponents of warming saying anything they want without contradiction.
When sceptics are mentioned, it’s only to ridicule them.
Web blogs such as this one are all very well but if the information doesn’t get into the MSM, it’s all a waste of time.

    QV :
Totally agree. So here is an idea : why don’t all subscribers here fire of a letter to their daily newspaper quoting some of the facts mentioned on this blog. That might shake the letters editors (if they dare print any )

I now call the BBC (as per their representation of “Islamic State”, the “so called BBC”
