BBC Still Using Cooling Tower Images, In Defiance Of BBC Trust Ruling

As I reported , the BBC ran this report on Wednesday:

Ministers should tighten the UK’s official climate change target – or face the courts, the government’s former chief scientist has said.

Prof Sir David King is supporting a legal case forcing ministers to shrink carbon emissions to zero by 2050.

He says the current government goal – an 80% emissions cut by the same date – is too weak to protect the climate.

As we so often see, it included a picture of cooling towers, deliberately and dishonestly designed to designed to confuse water vapour with CO2.

This is of course a common trick across the media. But back in 2009, following a complaint about the use of cooling tower images, the BBC Trust upheld the complaint, finding:

Given that Roger Harrabin seems to think that this ruling does not applies to him, can we take it that his output is no longer “factual programming”?

At least they didn’t blacken the water vapour pouring out of the cooling towers – that was their [greenpiss/bbc] very common photoshop tm trick.

Roge Harrabin is all about emissions, effluent that is and out of his sewage outlets and btw ‘factual’ and bbc cannot go into the same phrase.

Must have forgotten that but of fakery.

‘back in 2009’ – so BBC ‘rulings’ are just for show.

Regrettably, “BBC” and “Trust” have become oxymoronic.

It’s OK – they look like biomass plant cooling towers to me. I occasionally drive past Drax and sometimes, in the early light, they look just as sinister. The plant does of coure produce more emissions than coal, as has previously been established.

You have to realise that the Beeb is tim by silly little girls with Arts degrees

      “tim”
      Was that a typo?
I guess it should have been “run”.

If you could modify little girls to Witless Women of a “certain age’ your comment could apply to Radio New Zealand. I can say this because I’m a deplorable female.

“On competition policy the BBC is regulated by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), the European Commission, and Ofcom. Ofcom also regulates some other aspects of the BBC, for example the BBC is covered by Ofcom’s Fairness Code. Ofcom is the UK’s communications regulator.”

The BBC Trust is old hat now so whatever they decreed can be safely ignored.

I wonder who would re-submit the complaint to Ofcom? I am too old to get involved in such matters now. Perhaps Harrabin needs a blunt reminder.

Interesting to see how Britain now has the lawlessness seen so clearly in the USA. Only the Right in the USA is held to the law, and only then if it suits the whims of the press. Kind of sad that the USA was founded on a “free press” and now has a press that is as free as the press in virtually all other nations—which is to say, there is little or no truth in the media anymore. It’s all lies and propaganda, everywhere, all the time.

“Is that true, or did you hear it on the BBC?” One thing is certain, whatever Cardinal Harabin says is the opposite of the truth. He does not care that he lives a life of lies.

But his reporting has never had anything to do with facts. The stunning fact is that dear Old Auntie still employs this agonising dunderhead.

Anybody fancy putting a bid in? Nice little earner, using dirty diesel to balance out the ‘greens’

‘UK’s largest back-up energy generator up for sale ahead of earnings boom’

“……UKPR was set up in 2010 and operates the generation equivalent of a major power plant which has been broken up and scattered across the UK. Its nimble, low-cost mini gas plants have already scooped up National Grid contracts to provide back up power for the energy system to balance the peaks and troughs of wind and solar power……”

And now today yet another urban middle class green virtue signal in the form of the renewable wood burning stove has suddenly been discovered as a threat to humanity.
Between a quarter and a third of fine particles in London air emanated from stoves in the S.E. where 16% of households now have them installed.
Sadiq Khan is shocked, shocked I tell you, to discover this and is asking Gove , another half wit, for powers to tackle this problem that has appeared out of the blue.
Except it hasn’t appeared out of the blue, and anyone who lived through the forties and fifties saw this coming a mile off. wondering all the while why the Clean Air Act of that time was being so willfully ignored.
We truly are being led by the most stupid and inept politicians in our history.

I don’t know what everyone is complaining about with pictures of those dangerous cooling towers. They are clearly emitting loads and loads of the most potent greenhouse gas on the planet, tons and tons being emitted, forming vast clouds of dihydrogen monoxide, a chemical which causes between 70%-85% of global warming, clouds that are choking the life out of the planet by forming a heat-trapping blanket and even dropping precipitants on unsuspecting plants and animals. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of innocent people die every year* from overdoses of this dangerous chemical. It should be BANNED by every government on earth. We must stop the madness!

What the Beeb should have said:

These cooling towers are emitting vast clouds of dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO), one of the most dangerous chemicals present in our environment. DHMO was used extensively by the US in Vietnam, and the soil in many parts of Vietnam still has heavy concentrations of it. Although little publicity has been given to it, many US military bases keep large stocks of this chemical on hand and have underground distribution systems for it. DHMO is used in nuclear arms factories and chemical weapons plants.

DHMO is colorless, odorless and tasteless, and exposure to it kills thousands of people every year. Contact with its solid form can cause tissue damage, while exposure to the gaseous form can cause severe burns. DHMO has been used as a riot control agent in some parts of the world.

DHMO is a component of acid rain, and contributes to global warming via the greenhouse effect. It has been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in the Western world, and is frequently found in excised tumours of terminal cancer patients. But the occurrence of this deadly chemical nowadays is global, and it has even been found in Antarctic ice. Much of our food supply is contaminated by DHMO. Items found in the produce section of your local supermarket frequently contain traces of it.

Although DHMO can have severe environmental effects, industrial companies routinely dump it into rivers and lakes. The impact on wildlife from environmental DHMO can be extreme, and its presence often makes otherwise fertile farmland unusable.

    Ban DHMO!

DHMO is also a vital component in bombs made by terrorists.

The US comedy and debunking duo, Penn and Teller, had an episode some years ago, when they got a couple of actors to go around an ‘environmentalist’ demonstration, getting these ‘greenies’ to sign a petition to ban DHMO. They got hundreds of signatures!

DHMO has been noted in the urine of polar bears and penguins. It has even been found at the North pole as well as the South pole, as you mention, and far out at sea. Even at the bottom of the Marianas trench. No residential water supply is free of it. People just don’t realise the scope of the problem – I could do some research, but would need funds…

And did you realise just how dangerous and prevalent Hydroxic acid is?

Not to mention the vast amounts of chlorinated salts of alkali metals, found in foodstuffs and oceans everywhere! You can even find traces of it in human sweat. Chlorine was used as a toxic gas in WW1! Sodium burns on contact with air!

Send even more money to help me ban NaCl!

I have complained to the Today programme on this – not for the first time. Not only about the cooling towers, but also for the introduction to the Dr David King interview that talked about a 1.5% increase in temperature (!) and the need to limit further temperature increases to 1.5 degrees. In the face of such ignorance, one is left speechless.

Typical obtuseness and bias from Bliar’s Broadcasting Corp… Defo they should lose their licence fee, as they do not play by the clear rules.
