You have to wonder why these luvvies are so passionate about something they clearly no nothing about. None of them will have any clue about the science. So the only conclusion to come to about them is that they are completely gullible and will believe anything they are told by NGOs, by politicians and by the MSM.

But she has explained, “If I could fly cleanly, I would”. So that’s all right then, not her fault; the blame rests firmly with those damned scientists and engineers who have failed to give her the tools she needs for proper virtue signalling. Shame on them I say.

“If I could fly cleanly, I would”.
She has no choice, Dame Emma must fly extensively to maintain her career and lifestyle, should she give that away she would disappoint so many of her lovely fans.
Generally speaking, as laconic Sydney blogger Tim Blair put it: “A pattern is emerging. Overwhelmingly, actual and proposed climate change remedies tend to target the less well-off while the wealthy carry on without hindrance”.

The phrase – everyone is equal but some are more equal than others comes to mind. Global warming supporters are left wing and therefore hypocrisy comes naturally to them.

Clean flying? Well, back to the old broomstick.

It’s a plot by fossil fuel companies that there’s not a CO2 free way to fly. I saw a documentary once called ‘Flubber’, where a scientist invented just such a fuel. I’m sure that Emma would have seen it too and know, like me, that dark forces prevented the product reaching the market.

But she is not flying as much as she used to, give her a round of applause.

By the way, completely off topic, we are now being exposed to the “hottest ever Easter” claims. It falls between 22 March and 25 April, so it cannot come much later and the chances of it being the hottest Easter must be pretty good.

And of course there will be a weather feature that is causing the burst of warmth.

Records are such funny things. What’s that over there!??! (rapid shuffling of temperature data) Now where’s that record you were talking about.

They belong to the Actors Union.. therefore to retain their membership they toe the line or they never work again The question is why do the unions believe in this onrushing climate change.?

5400 miles? Won’t she fly back?

So she flies into Heathrow and

“She is a supporter of Greenpeace, and in January 2009, as part of her campaign against climate change, she and three other members of the organisation bought land near the village of Sipson to deter the building of a third runway for Heathrow Airport.”

“Dame Emma’s participation comes as protestors were planning to disrupt flights at Heathrow airport today,”

She also “planted a lot of tress” so that’s OK too, three Hail Mary’s and the slates wiped clean.
When I and the rest of the plebs travel abroad we of course prefer to “fly dirty” and there’s the difference between Saint Emma and us.

Apparently she only flew business class, so that’s fine…

Talking of fines, the way to deal with protestors is to fine them. Even littering gets more serious punishment. Actually littering gets more punishment than most crimes. Sigh.

The other thing that could be done is those arrested or identified like Emma Thompson should be put on a no fly list, even if it’s the airlines that implement it. After all, that’s what they want for all of us, so they should be helped to lead the way.

“Apparently she only flew business class, so that’s fine…”

And claimed that “At 60 I’m far too old to fly economy” Arrogant cow – what about the millions of older people who can’t afford to fly business, let alone first class?

Almost all the people she’s protesting against have a smaller CO2 footprint than her. It’s a popular theme to blame Baby Boomers for all our troubles but most started their lives ou modestly. Only once their lives were estabished could they do the things that Millennials think of as their human rights.

That’s the trouble with actors and actresses – they are fine when being told what to say and what to do but let them go it alone and all sorts of drivel results.

Dame Emma is planting lots of trees on her Scottish Estate! How many more homes has she got and what is their carbon footprint? Never mind, the hoi poloi can return to their mud huts!

When no one is looking, a few years from now those trees will be cut and used for fuel at
    Drax power station.

Meanwhile they produce volatile hydrocarbons and the dark trunks, at high latitudes, intercept short wave solar and convert that to warming.
Tell Dear Emma to feel the south-facing trunk of a tree on a sunny but cold day.

Jeremy Corbyn’s brother calls climate protesters ‘deranged’ as he holds a counter demonstration on Waterloo Bridge
“So good luck expecting Magic Grandpa Corbyn to do anything about climate when his brother is an active denier
    – oh no another flaw in the Dear Leader ”

Off thread but as I write windmills are producing 6% of our electricity. It’s dark and curiously solar is producing nothing
