Former UK PM Gordon Brown: Time for ‘Global Government’ to Tackle Coronavirus

Don’t let a good crisis go to waste!
Now is the time for global leaders to create one world government to tackle the twin medical and economic crises caused by the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown urged on Thursday.
The left-wing former Labour leader said there was a need for a taskforce involving world leaders, health experts and the heads of international organisations that would have supreme and unfettered executive powers to coordinate the response.
He gave no indication of who would appoint the “leaders,” how long they would serve for or just what their powers would involve, the Guardian reports.
Brown simply wants a new layer of global supra-government to force a solution to a crisis that began in Wuhan, China.
One thing is certain. If this supra-government was ever set up, it would not be dismantled once the coronavirus crisis was sorted out. Bureaucracies never do volunteer to be disbanded.
And gradually its tentacles and power would be extended to cover more and more of out life. No prizes for guessing what the next “crisis” would be to justify greater powers!

Actually, this corona virus has accomplished what the ‘green’ climate change alarmists have been demanding for years. It has sharply curtailed the use of fossil fuels in transportation with the result that CO2 emissions are reduced. Hopefully, they will get the message that if they continue that demand after the virus has been stopped the result to people and the economies will have the same, if not worse result. A real global emergency, with the climate unaffected. Reducing emissions does not lower CO2 already emitted and still in the atmosphere.
Let’s face it; our politicians couldn’t run a p**sup in a bre*ery. World government just means we get equality by everywhere being equally f***ed up. *****(spares)

Think our old Gordy would like to be world leader. (As would his predecessor in No.10.) Gordon Brown was very quick to 1. call for a world government in 2007-09, and, 2. claim in 2009 “We have saved the world.”.

It was Gordon Brown who told us in 2009 that “We have fewer than fifty days to save our planet from catastrophe”. I don’t think we realised he was talking about corona virus rather than global warming. What a plonker.

What worries me is that the group think that dominates our society will be treacherous and skillful enough to manipulate figures to show that CO2 WAS reduced during the pandemic and prove without doubt that following corona, the climate emergency demands an even more radical approach.
Already taking place. The world is running out of places to store the oil not being used and lying about the consequences of not using it is only a step away.
Much more likely it is that CO2 increase will continue to rise in spite of our Coronavirus caused emission cutbacks. This will PROVE that its increase is not due in any way to human alleged emissions, and I can’t wait for the true figure revelations and not those produced by Shukman or any of the other BBC alarmist propagandists.

Please read “Carbon Dioxide and People”, Newell & Marcus, 1987. Yes, CO2 will continue to increase but only because emissions cannot be stopped instantly, and especially if the goal is zero. By 2050 the atmospheric level could reach 500 ppm.
Which will further benefit life on earth! Hopefully — because I will be long gone by then — my heirs (and everyone else’s) will have to come to realise the extent we have been consistently lied to by the eco-luddites and “environment” will once again be something that we care for sensibly and realistically because we can afford to.
And if the UN projections are right, and there is every reason to believe they are, world population will be peaking and the race can start preparing for a golden age of plenty for about four generations until either the next LIA hits or population decline starts to bring its own problems.

We give the police more powers to deal with morons congregating and they decide it means harassing people completely on their own, if they can find a way to prove what they are doing isn’t essential. Consensus doesn’t make science, essential doesn’t spread disease. Even the NHS is panicking and refusing to treat people, even children with other illnesses, because – coronavirus. Meningitis? before this police enforced lock down in the UK
there had been no wide spread testing to find out how many people have the COVID-19 virus in the UK. Therefore they have no way of calculating the death rate or how fast it is or is not spreading.
Most of the testing that has been done prior to the lock down has been concentrated on people who are seriously ill in hospitals , intensive care units and care homes. (How someone in a sterile intensive care unit gets the virus I don’t know). But this will obviously give a higher death rate per infection than would be present in the population as whole.
The main stream continually lie when they so many people have died of COVID-19. They should more honestly say people have died with COVID-19 . It may not be a significant contribution to the death. It may be the straw that breaks the camels back. But should you blame the straw or the load the camel was carrying.

Somehow I got a ticket to a Labour Party organised public meeting on Brexit (post referendum) , at which Gordon Brown spoke. I was not impressed. The audience were clearly anti-brexit, and GB came across merely as a has-been rabble-rouser. His speech was designed to be stirring rather than informative or though-provoking. I duly crossed him off my list of people to pay any attention to.
This latest garbage from him just confirms my decision.
It was always the aim of the UN to create a global crisis (global warming) which could only be solved by a global government. Now they have another route to that goal.
Has anyone explained to the one-eyed Scotch idiot that the Chinese virus originated in China?
And that the only form of one global government the PRC will support is they are it. Which, given their lamentable incompetence, corruption and mendacity in handling the outbreak, is probably not such a good idea for anyone.

I was under the false impression that the World Health Organization had leaders and professionals in health matters from most countries of the world, were adequately funded, and in conjunction with the United Nations have enough brainpower and political might to solve every imaginable crisis. Furthermore on discovering the existence of the World temperature hiatus, the propagandists changed it suddenly to ‘Climate Change’, so if World temperature has not increased in the last 20 – 30 years even the allegation of the CO2’s very own greenhouse effect is a falacy !
So why do we have to pay any attention to the hoax – to DECARBONISE ANYWAY ?
During a time when the world’s CO2 levels were over 2,000 ppm it had a very acceptable climate which supported luxuriant animal and plant life.
