There may sometimes be good reason for flying. But flying to Edinburgh to film a campaign ad is not one of them.

    Big trouble ahead:

78% carbon cuts by 2035. Surely it’s time to throw this lot out?

Cutting carbon fuel emissions and making steeper targets does nothing to lower what has already been added to the atmosphere to lower the global temperature. That can only be done by NET-zero carbon capture and storage. Are these leaders really that blind to what rapid lowering of CO2 emissions actually does?

Politicians love making big announcements, and setting targets to be met well in the future long after they’ve left office, then doing little to try and meet those targets. Lets hope this is another example of talk is easy, but action doesn’t always follow.

Heaven help us! We’re on the 12th day with next to no wind so where are we going to get our energy from when we reach the happy state of providing an example to the rest of the world?

Who do you put in their place? They are all committed to this emergency path because it’s a “fact”

When somebody believes an untruth it’s called lunacy. When lots of people believe an untruth, it’s called a religion. When everybody believe an untruth, it’s called a fact.

It fails as rational policy at every step of the way. As out politicians have clearly lost their minds, how do you reason with them?

What everyone believes does not make it a fact.

Given that nobody would currently vote for Starmer’s wretched party of Wokelings what can we do about this short of take to the streets?

I’m starting think that the ploy of calling out the hypocrisy of those who fly while claiming to be Green is misjudged. Instead, we should be praising their support for important businesses and their desire to keep the lights on against the on-going obsession with ruinables.

Perhaps they are really Italians: Green in Name Only: Ginos.

OK, the story below is not the biggest example of ecocide in the name of green/sustainability in the world recently, but doesn’t it just speak volumes.

You get the feeling they will be fencing off the lower Marine Drive to prevent the old crocks parading there at the end of the London to Brighton run.

Popular guy this one. You can understand why he flies. Cause if he didn’t he wouldn’t get far.

Flying is okay if it’s needed to plot your demise.

All the green nonsense is for you. Not him.

Why would you think it would apply to him ???

Most things in life don’t matter and some things don’t matter at all.

When I was at Infants school in the early 60’s we were told the world would end soon due to overpopulation, it would be impossible to feed 3 billion people, the UK would be an overcrowded hell on earth. The scientists were certain, and Governments around the world accepted this vision of the future without question, and made laws to restrict all sorts of things.

However we all seemed to have survived “the population bomb” and now we have the next load of garbage thought up by those who should know better.

What makes me laugh is that those who oversaw the world financial collapse in 2008 are now at the helm of climate change policy. Mark Carney, Lord Stern etc were notably unable to predict the financial future, and we all suffered, but now they wish us to believe they can predict the weather. But what baffles me is why does any one think they can control the climate, this is futile.

Ludicrous is the word Boris used to describe the elite football club owners’ latest scheme.

We should use the word every time we hear Boris’s absurd proposal to accelerate the climate change program. On the BBC today he was reported as concerned about meeting the cost of speeding up the program and where the govt. will find the money.

He and those P. R. strategists polishing credentials for the autumn conference in Glasgow needs to be reminded that it is the general public that will be paying. It seems extraordinary that our MPs are remain indifferent as to the cost burden they have supinely accepted on behalf of their constituents for carrying through such a ludicrous policy.

Is not the wisest response not to belief a word that leaves a polititans mounth ?
Resourses were not an issue in 2020.
We were manipulated in the bank scandle of 2008.
Now climate change excuses will be ramped up with additional fear and terror broadcasting all in time for next year’s scandle and so on until we can identify and pick honest leaders.

I’m surprised he didn’t go by private jet. About 6 months ago Bill Gates bought the world’s biggest air taxi fleet. Now why would he do that? Could it be that he can now travel the world in secret and not be called out as a hypocrite like Starmer has.

In line with his green credentials he bought all of those private jets so that they could be grounded and destroyed in order to force him and all of his wealthy pals to reduce their carbon footprint by flying cattle classs with the rest of the peasantry. And then I woke up.
