Met Office Promote “Worsening Climate” Lie

More dishonest reporting from the Met Office:
World Meteorological Organization report reveals the state of the climate in 2020.
The State of the Global Climate 2020 highlights the latest indicators of the climate system, including greenhouse gas concentrations, increasing land and ocean temperatures, sea level rise, melting ice and glacier retreat and extreme weather.
The WMO report, which included contributions from an extensive network of partners including the Met Office, also highlights impacts on socio-economic development, migration and displacement, food security and land and marine ecosystems.
Globally, 2020 was one of the three warmest years on record, despite a cooling La Niña event. The global average temperature was about 1.2° Celsius above the pre-industrial (1850-1900) level. The six years since 2015 have been the warmest on record. 2011-2020 was the warmest decade on record.
WMO Secretary-General, Prof. Petteri Taalas said: “It has been 28 years since the World Meteorological Organization issued the first state of the climate report in 1993, due to the concerns raised at that time about projected climate change. While understanding of the climate system and computing power have increased since then, the basic message remains the same and we now have 28 more years of data that show significant temperature increases over land and sea as well as other changes like sea level rise, melting of sea ice and glaciers and changes in precipitation patterns. This underscores the robustness of climate science based on the physical laws governing the behaviour of the climate system.
“The key climate indicators provided in this report highlight relentless, continuing climate change, and the severe losses and damage associated with extreme weather events, affecting people, societies and economies.”
António Guterres the UN Secretary-General added: “This report shows that we have no time to waste. The climate is changing, and the impacts are already too costly for people and the planet.”
But what is this “extreme weather” that has been caused by global warming?
1) There is no trend in hurricanes, and last year hurricane frequency was below average:

2) The number of US tornadoes was below average last year:

3) Sea levels are rising at the same slow rate as they have since the 19thC, indicating that glaciers are not melting any faster than before:

In fact, the climate is not getting worse, as the Met Office would like you to think. Shame on them for promoting such a lie.

Hurricanes are weather events. Period. The Gulf/North Atlantic get hot enough EVERY YEAR to support hurricanes. Whether there are hurricanes is strictly a function of weather. Whether they form, how strong they get, where they go is all WEATHER. More of them, less of them, weather.

Further to the above answer, this NOAA statement is carefully crafted to avoid what they should be saying in plain language; ‘there’s no AGW influence on hurricanes’.
But that would be an admission their hurricane hysteria is total claptrap.
And because of the La Nina that has had ‘no effect’ , the UAH global temp for lower atmosphere is now below the 40 year average. we are currently back to 1980.
Its all B.S.
And AGW CO2 has had no effect on the ENSO going back to at least 1982. There is no statistical correlation between Mauna Loa CO2 and the NINO 3.4 temperature anomaly.
The WMO is an agency of the UN. Their boss is the UN Secretary General whatshisname.

So Tony…what possible urgent action can humanity take that will restore the climate to some yet-to-be-defined year? Rapidly lowered emissions has created economic chaos and further lowering will create fuel shortages and higher costs that will add to the damage you assert is already too costly. Could you be specific?

Yes, the UN have to admit they ‘have no time to waste’.
If the cold start to 2021 is the beginning of the ‘minimum’ which could see a period of really cold WEATHER for the next few years they would lose the argument about climate change and global warming. They’re striking while the iron’s hot (well, cold, actually).
This also relates neatly to a previous story about Amber Rudd et lining their pockets with the returns from the CC scare: If the scare collapses because people don’t like the cold in the next few years and realise the scam I shall not shed a tear for the loss of earnings of these parasites.
If the climate is worsening, then it’s probably due to the stuff they keep spraying into the atmosphere.

I had a condescendingly toned email exchange with the MO over what I thought was a moved weather station – because when you look at the last 24hrs it clearly says their are no observations and the nearest station is being used – a location where there is no weather station! In fact any request for obs. in the locality gives you obs. from a non-existent weather station. Needless to say it hasn’t been fixed/changed.
They have been altering past climate records for years to try to fool people into thinking that Global Warming is actually happening .
But with the world actually getting colder for the past 20 odd years , they are now inventing new fictitious weather records to try to keep the lies going .

Yes I’ve seen that. In this particular MO case, though, it is just a mistake (I’m prepared to believe) and an ingrained bureaucratic superiority complex.
It feels nowadays as if we are in a parallel universe where almost every establishment body has no qualms about parroting obviously false narratives and taking the general public for fools. The only democratic option is to vote out of office every clone politician who supports these narratives.
It is ironic that Boris Johnson freed us from the EU only to set us up for even more dystopian control under the thumb of Davos/WEF and the UN. We need a new breed of politician to stand up against the unelected, unaccountable globalists.

I wonder if the “scientists and experts” who are promulgating these simple lies will ever be held to account. The damage caused by their dishonesty is already massive, but with Biden joining the moral-highground set their efforts will re-double.
It is worth commenting that the pollution figures for the UK are largely distorted by imported pollutants, i.e. the large number of French and German wood burners: maybe we should sue them through the EU courts for their damage.
At this moment Thursday 29th April 7.30pm Channel Four News is transmitting a major 40 minute article on Climate Change, birds becoming extinct, how action is required now etc etc. This Live transmission is from the large Whitelee Wind Farm South of Glasgow, and as the programme has progressed the turbines are turning slower end slower and some have just stopped completely… The General Manager of the wind farm has been saying vociferously that action needs to be taken now to quadruple the number of wind farms in the UK. Maybe realising that there are serious doubts now being raised by analytical investigations by the likes of this Forum. There are NO dissenting voices, or serious questions about the cost of Net Zero. I recommend you tape this major article on Channel Four Plus + 1 at 8pm tonight and properly question the statements being made.
Isn’t that the wind farm that gets the highest curtailment payments? It must save on maintenance bills too.
The avalanche of misinformation is so bad that there are very few places in the media world that we can actually get data that we can trust. The newspapers are so blatantly giving us updated lies based on the lies they gave us last week. Television and radio are even worse. They do not even report news that doesn’t support a radical left point of view. When they do it is discounted as “unverified reports.” There is only one good thing about Climate Change, we don’t have to look at Al Gore anymore telling us about the oceans rising enough to submerge all the cities on either coast. Finally, Biden has severely compromised our oil production so that we will soon have to import petroleum from the Middle East. Just thought I should get that off my 85-year-old chest
In cloud cuckoo land the weather is always extreme.
The Met office report goes on , I am sure I saw a unicorn on the horizon, a couple of flying pigs soared majestically over some red herrings swimming around.
Everything was exactly as predicted.
Just a load of observations. So what if 2020 was a little bit warmer? So what if the last six years have all been warm? If 2015 could be naturally warm then it’s obvious so could the next few years. What’s clear is we didn’t see successively warmer years from 2015, just pretty much the same thing. And tes, if it’s warm enough for stuff to melt it will carry on melting. Again, proves nothing.
Its probably a bit warmer than it was. But then it was probably a bit cooler than it had been. Climate changes.
It is relentless. Big Brother continues to lie and gets away with it.
The problem being that there is no global constitution to ensure that the UN and its acolytes can be called to task over this.
