What Ukranian Refugee Crisis?–John Kerry

Can this scumbag get any worse?

Another day, another tone-deaf US official sticks his foot in his mouth over the Ukraine war.

US climate czar John Kerry, who had already made cringe-worthy comments at the start of the war, did it again this week — by using Ukraine’s burgeoning refugee crisis to shift the focus back to his cause.

“If you think migration has been a problem in Europe from the Syrian war — or even from what we see now [in Ukraine] — wait until you see 100 million people for whom the entire food production capacity has collapsed,” Kerry said at a Houston energy conference Monday.

The clueless comment from the US’s special presidential envoy on climate change came as around 2 million people have already fled Ukraine amid two weeks of intense Russian bombings and artillery strikes on civilian targets.

Kerry also sought to tie the war to the climate Wednesday, when he addressed an informal meeting of the UN Security Council on Climate Finance for Sustaining Peace.

Kerry said the “instability, conflict, death [and] destruction” in Ukraine is happening in the context of “a global existential crisis.

“We are actually living through the consequences of that crisis,” he said.

However he’s of some use to Biden, i.e. making him seem almost sensible by comparison.

“Blah, blah, blah. Who cares about Ukraine. Blah, blah, blah. Ukrainian refugees are having a fun time seeing the world; at least they have FOOD. Blah, blah, blah.

And in conclusion: buy our ‘renewable’ junk.

    Or you’ll die.”

Yet another, timely, apropos, post, Mr. Homewood.

Yes. Kerry really gets it when it comes to dealing with terrorists like Putin.

Here he is in France, in January, 2015 with James Taylor with a stunning response to the Paris terror attacks.

(you may have heard a different version of this performance — this is the real one 😉)

After reading this, I went to the NYPost link for this article. At the bottom of the article, the Post allows readers to indicate their reaction to the story. The choices are Top Notch, So-so, and Next. You can click a total of 10 times on your choice. I clicked 10 times on “Next.”
Maybe other readers of this blog would like to do the same. It only takes a few seconds!

You are so right, Kerry is a POS.

Forgetting?? that Joe Biden released millions of barrels of oil from the US strategic reserves to lower the price of fuels for Americans. That oil is already back in the atmosphere as CO2. And now the energy crisis should be made part of the global existential crisis??

    Talk about clueless!

The war against hydrocarbons – of which the actual war we are witnessing now is only one (major) component of – is being orchestrated to CAUSE food shortages. Pretty soon the impact on fertiliser production which started before and is being compounded by, said war will suddenly become obvious. It’s all planned but is gonna get rough soon.

How do leaders like Xi of China keep a straight face when they see him coming?

This war and it’s consequences on the ‘Western Evolved Nations’ is a direct result of our ‘Progressive’ Environmental legislation that for 30 years has transferred ‘Power’ over us to those who burn all the fossil fuels we used to, to make ALL the ‘Stuff’ we used to make right here at home. Again I know I am like a broken record . . . Install scrubbers, electrostatic converters and Nitrogen oxide burners and recycle the waste water from the scrubbers . . . And bring home ALL the production we GAVE away to China . . . or soon . . . The Shit will hit the fan with them . . . and THEN we will be up the creek without a paddle . . .

    My Thoughts . . .

This really came home during covid when the UK could no longer make simple ppe (simple technology)and still import test equipment (high technology). We have also exported many billion pounds worth of manufacture to the EU, hence Brexit!

I’m afraid that we are already a long way up the creek, and living on the UK’s earnings pre-madness…… “the family silver” as MacMillan put it.

Not really. It is the result of the West shitting on Russia from the moment the Soviet Union collapsed instead of helping them transform into a modern nation. Continued NATO expansion and then EU expansionism brought about 2014. And from then on the Ukraine has become emboldened to take the piss as well by treating the large number of Russians in the country badly, continuing sporadic attacks on the separatist areas etc. And so we end up with a classic case on von Klausevitz’s definition of war – the pursuit of politics by other means. – where Putin has been rebuffed on requests to have Ukraine be a neutral non-EU non-NATO state. The fact that the idiots running western Europe have got themselves totally reliant on Russian gas and oil is schadenfreude at its best.

OK he’s banged to rights this time.
I do think people misrepresented his words at the Israel conference
Co they edited out the question which was about climate, hence his answer was about climate.

We should not be holding conferences and thinking about climate, we should be thinking on how to avoid WAR.

Where does this idiot get his crazy ideas from. One of the better things President Biden could do is sack this stupid man without delay. There are too many stupid people in this world who will listen to him.
