Another study finds the MWP, this time in China:

This was the MMP that the ‘experts’ tell us was confined to Europe?

the mwp debate is on the silly side of things. if the climate science claim is that it wasn’t warmer and that proves that the current warming is human caused, i think the appropriate response is to point out the logical flaw in the statement, not to get sucked into a meaningless debate about the temperature and the global extent of the mwp found in the paleo data particularly so given the large uncertainties in the paleo data in question.

I think what’s also important is that, irrespective of where there is evidence of the MWP, man not only survived it, he thrived during the period in Europe.

It simply demonstrates that warmer is better. And if the Antarctic/Greenland began to melt, mankind would have thousands of years to retreat from coastlines.

Back off even further. 1.There exists NO statistically significant empirical data set(s) which prove that CO2 is a an important greenhouse gas ( it is not) and that the greenhouse effect itself is real ( Dyson and Happer put it in the at best 5% bracket of total possible contribution to “possible” warming. 2. If the electromagnetic spectrums for CO2 and Water vapour are compared it can be seen that CO2, a trace gas only has a small signature in the outer ultra low IR end of the spectrum. This is completely swamped by the signature of WATERVAPOUR which is.400X more prevalent in the atmosphere. So IF there is a greenhouse effect (not proven) then it is trivial AND the main influencer is water vapour. SO! Back to AGM cause climate change. To have a PROVEN effect there has to be a PROVEN cause. There is no proven cause so there cannot possibly be a proven effect. Q.E.D.

Well, in those hot Medieval times, China was a part of Europe, see? While today, it is the other way round.

The propagandist case that the MWP was restricted to Europe is unbelievable. The historical record is clear that it happened – an era of relative plenty which led to spate of great cathedral building and Vikings settling in Greenland. What sort of weather anomaly could possibly cause such prolonged conditions to be restricted to Europe (and Greenland)?

For whatever it may be worth…the Japanese record of Spring-time temperatures and the effects on cherry blossoms also goes back to the 9th century.

More recent data on the Japanese cherry trees are complicated by the urban heat effect.

The very fact there is so much resistance from supposed scientists supporting the climate scam is most telling. Normal people would welcome more data and normal people would be happy if the assertion (that is all that it is) of AGM is shown not to exist or be a problem. But we are not dealing with normal people..take Hansen for example who sold out. Who would not want everything to be fine…except a bunch of maggots and weasels making money out of the scam that is who!

This is the world we live in, mostly. Some scientists in China may not have got the memo though.

April ended up joint 5th mildest in the CET of 362 years, same as 1798, marginally cooler than 1865/1943.

It’s true a lot of recent years are among the warmest Aprils.

But then there are also a lot of close years in the 1700s near the top.

But possibly significant, a run of years at what would have been the peak of the last Arctic warm cycle – 1943/44/45/46/49 all in the top 25 – like the present?

Met office is also claiming sunniest on record and 5th warmest for whole UK, shorter datasets used though (few airplanes, interesting coincidence but I think that’s all it is).

    https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/about-us/press-office/news/weather-and-climate/2020/2020-april-stats

    Notice how they point out:

“The UK climate is warming, and it is notable that in a Met Office series from 1884 the Aprils of 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2014 and 2020 are all in the top 10 warmest.”

Spookily like the 1940s, almost as if the weather was cyclic!

From CET for those years (plus 2018), not UK as a whole, with 1940s added:-

    2003 9.6C
    2018 9.8C
    1946 9.9C
    1949 10.0C
    2009 10.0C
    1945 10.1C
    1944 10.2C
    2014 10.2C
    2020 10.4C
    1943 10.5C
    2007 11.2C
    2011 11.8C

2000s ‘win’, but hardly concerning/conclusive is it!

And hot off the press, UAH shows the March global cooling continued into April.
