The jet belonging to climate czar John Kerry’s family made its way to Idaho, where he and his wife have reportedly vacationed, as he traveled in Asia to promote the Biden administration’s message on the issue.

Flight records show that the jet left Boston late afternoon and landed in Hailey, Idaho, later that evening. It’s unclear what the trip was for but the Idaho Press reported last year that he and his wife, Teresa, have been part-time residents in the nearby Sun Valley for decades.

According to the State Department, the former secretary of state is currently on a trip through Asia that’s set to end on Friday. The trip, which started April 1, extends from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka and is intended "for consultations on increasing climate ambition" ahead of a climate summit hosted by President Biden.

In the past, Kerry has encountered scrutiny over use of his family jet while speaking out against climate change. Most notably, when Kerry took his jet to receive a climate award in Iceland, he called it "the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle."

Private jets have been estimated to emit upward of 40 times as much carbon per passenger as commercial flights.

FlightAware logs show that the jet traveled from Bedford, Massachusetts, to Martha’s Vineyard, which is also in Massachusetts, on March 26 and from Martha’s Vineyard to Boston on March 28.

Do as I say, not as I do! Obeying rules is the province of the little people.

I find the values presented in this article believable but since nothing else from this source seems reliable we should demand the evidence… I can’t help thinking some of it is likely to be exaggerated.

O/T. Another belter from the Guardian.

The author is claiming sea levels will rise 20 feet in the next 100-200 years, yet again another flat-out lie.

‘If seas rise 20 feet over the next 2,000 years, our children and their descendants may find ways to adapt. But if seas rise 20 feet or more over the next 100 to 200 years — which is our current trajectory – the outlook is grim. In that scenario, there could be two feet of sea level rise by 2040, three feet by 2050, and much more to come’.

The sort of hysteria that used to be associated with teenage girls. Or infants.

“all but certain to rise by at least 20 to 30 feet”: aw, didums.

well, probably Teresa provided the funds for the jet, among other amenities…. so much for the ongoing “climate” scam….

    This attitude filters down.
For example, a very successful community bicycle workshop in my home City at the Temple Meads station is being evicted this week.
The council look on and do nothing.
Yet we have an election in about three weeks time and many of the canidates will claim green this or that, like supporting cycling though they talk in code and call it active travel.
Hypocritical practice by those in-charge is the way this world seems to be.
    And why it’s a mess.

Kerry is pushing the Green New Deal.
By flying around all the time he is adding CO2 to the atmosphere, thus greening the planet Earth.
He is inadvertently cooling and greening the earth.
Thanks John. Keep up the good work. CO2 is a coolant John.

It should be said that the car trips would involve a ferry ride which would increase the time and cost of the car trip but this is like taking a plane trip to the corner store to get a bottle of milk.

Uhhh! What’s the problem here, Kerry is a Politician.
No doubt Greta will scowl at him.

By the way did you see that flying pig earlier?

In related news, Kerry has claimed that this year’s Glasgow summit is the world’s “last best chance” to avert disaster.

Who’s been keeping track of how many of these “last chance” summits we’ve had already?

Isn’t this a taste of the future if the activists have their way?
The elite flying around as and when the whim takes them, while the plebs have to stay home or walk/bicycle if they need to go anywhere.
