Conservative Woman & Britain’s Wild Weather
December 17, 2020
By Paul Homewood
As you know, I have run a few pieces on the Panorama “documentary”, Britain’s Wild Weather.
I also wrote a shortened version for the Conservative Woman website, which is worth a read as well:

BBC climate spin doctors never have to give any scientific justification for their assertions. Easy job.
BBC and Met Office at it again…
How could the climate change near you?

Paul’s paper certainly elicited a good many sensible comments and I would hope these same women pass the message on and on and on.
Most of the commenters are actually men!! And Conservative Woman has some excellent articles on contemporary issues.
Some good comments over there. Pity that some don’t understand just how few weather/temp stations there are around the globe which make up the GAT.
And, as I’ve been accused of being a ‘conspiracy nutjob’ by some here, I might as well live up to it and just wonder whether Exeter is getting any funding from CCP.
Thanks Paul, when will it ever end!
I have sent your comments to others, perhaps some of them will have a look and start to question what is going on.
A few years ago I had a look at the rainfall stats for the SE England after a very wet period. I divided the stats up into 10 year periods then thirty year periods from 1900. Although there were some differences + – in the 10 year rainfall figures. The averaged 30 year periods worked out with less than 25mm difference.
I will not loose too much sleep worrying about UK climate change!
You don’t need to worry about climate change, will. What you do need to worry about is what the thickheaded politicians are planning to do about it.
I see Anthony Watts has put WUWT on a “war footing” as of today with increased possibility that some Democrat politicians are looking to criminalise climate scepticism. We should all be aware of what could happen anywhere especially with Boris in the driving seat!
I’d be more worried about the idiots in Brussels!
Indeed, with the EU and HMG going full steam ahead with the green insanity, with Biden, rightly or wrongly, likely to be confirmed as the next President and all of the major tech and media companies signed up to the the new ‘Nirvana’, be afraid folks, be very afraid. We are at a ‘tipping point’ and it has nothing to do with climate. All of us here who believe in science, critical thinking and the careful study of historical data, and contribute to sites such as this, will be vulnerable in the new world. None more so than our host. Anthony Watts, at WUWT, has already flagged up the precarious position we skeptics are in under a potential Biden/Harris presidency. We could be, very shortly, at a critical point where we have only two options: fight or flight! And I’m not a fan of flying!
“We should all be aware of what could happen anywhere especially with Boris in the driving seat!”
But Boris’s bint (Carrie Symonds) is the backseat driver & she controls the one eyed trouser snake !
The alarmists are very keen to avoid court cases as there you are required to give evidence under oath and it was interesting to note how the Climate Clan abandoned Michael Mann when he launched he court cases against Ball and Steyn. If the Democrats, Dementia Joe and Commie Kamala do go down this route they could be making a big mistake. Spurred on by stealing an election they think they can get away with anything. They might just find an outbreak of morality in the justice system as even Democrat supporters realise they have gone too far.
The Conservative Woman publishes lots of very good articles (including from Ben Pile). This article by our host is up there amongst the best ones.
Yep, it’s thoroughly recommended. More sense from those 3 women than those 650 clowns put together.
Great take down of the relentless media climate editorialising again Paul. I would take issue however with your summation at the end when you suggest most people realise that climate always changes. Its rare to talk to anyone in Ireland who has a broad understanding of both climate and how the issue is being grotesquely distorted by the First world media and academia. Millenials simply wont bother to search out objective blogs such as yours and Watts Up With That and the majority of those of us who experienced the relatively brutal winters of the 1950s and 1960s are either ambivalent or are not bothered to spend the thousands of hours required in analysing the wild and unsubstantiated claims of saintly figures such as Attenborough.
just caught the annual “Britain’s Wildest Weather” 2020 edition on Channel 4. Apparently it was initially shown on 5th December . Still there on catch up.

And i thought BBC were bad. Two met office people pontificating plus a sky weather person. The programme had attributed unusual weather events to global warming 3 times before the first advert break .
This needs critical eye and maybe another Homewood debunk
