Maybe he should learn how to check the actual data.

The BBC thinks he’s a climate expert. In reality he’s an activist spouting propaganda for the Greenies and their followers.

I spoke to a man the other day who drove a digger in the 1970’s. He said that his son was born in the hot spell of 1976 and that it was 40 degrees Celsius in the delivery room. He also told me that the firm he was working for at the time were digging out ponds, like it was going out of fashion, because they had all dried up.

It’s not about being right or wrong, just a daily dose of propaganda dropping into your concience every day. Brainwashing.

Rowlatt has said he was an environmental activist, and therefore he should not be in any position of authority in the Beeb. He cannot ever be impartial and objective which is a claim constantly made by the Beeb. He has no science background so he should be no more than a hack reporter. The Beeb is a hypocritic organization working in its own bubble and unaware of the mien of the people it is supposed to serve. in consideration of its taxpayer funding. The new PM must fast track defunding the BBC and decriminalize the tax evaders.

Do you have a link to his claim of being an activist? I’d like to quote it next time I complain.

Feel rather sorry for him in a way! He has to carry on with all this rubbish. To go back on it now would destroy him – he would have NOTHING!

I REMEMBER BACK IN 1975 WATCHING A REPORTER ON TV SHOWING US THE DRIED UP RIVERS AND EMPTY RESERVOIRS AND EXPLAINING THAT THINGS WOULD NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN. BY THE END OF THE YEAR AFTER A VERY WET WINTER THE RESERVOIRS AND RIVERS WERE OVERFLOWING ONCE MORE.

1976, not 1975. The 1975/1976 winter was quite dry. By Autumn 1976, a biblical deluge was falling on England and Wales.

Rowlatt is the John Sweeney of the BBC climate unit … The difference of course is the BBC eventually sacked Sweeney for his indiscretions and lies exposed by Tommy Robinson’s Panodrama documentary ..Rowlatt is still stuck on the BBC whale like a parasitic lamprey

. Look at the cluster of sub 300mm Jan – June low rainfall years dotting the 1850’s 1880’s and 1890’s in a century when atmospheric CO2 was below or scratching 300ppm And the anomalously parched years 1871 , 1921 , 1930 1950 and 1976 …..Then an upsurge in Jan – June rainfall ever since the record summer heatwaves and low precipitation of 1976 ……The 1850’s ` late 1880’s and 1890’s sequence of dry years has not been replicated in England over the last 47 years Rowlatt … Average England Jan – June rainfall totals have actually risen and the 2018 ‘drought’ year Rowlatt moaned about was above the 300mm threshold .
” First heat and then [ drought ] ” ..?…..Despite Rowlatts signs and portents Retweeting fervour it must be emphasized that . prior to this year there have been only two [ 2010 and another in the late 90’s ? I’m squinting here ] Jan – June sub 300 mm totals in the chronology since 1976. That 50 year anomaly is not seen anywhere else in the time series ….But you know how it is with the ‘unfalsifiable climate change cult : the increase in Jan – June England rainfall is inevitably caused by climate change too

” The party told you to reject the evidence of your own eyes and ears .It was their final most essential command”

      For England & Wales:

      – 7 out of top 25 wettest years occurred since 2000
      – 4 of the top 25 wettest Junes since 2000
      – 2 of the top 25 wettest Julys since 2000
      – 1 of the top 25 wettest Augusts since 2000

5 of top 25 wettest Decembers since 2000
4 of top 25 wettest Januarys since 2000
4 of top 25 wettest Februarys since 2000

Only 1 year since 2000 is in the top 25 driest (2003).

So, there may be a tendency to wetness overall, but not so much in summer.

For reference, the E&W precip record covers 256 years, so that top 25 = 10% approx.

Rowlatt check data? That would be a first. It would be like holy water to a vampire.

I see that we had to pay huge sums to Belgium for electricity to keep SE London going.

low water level and actual drought are different things aren’t they ?
